LA Kings "Back in Black" 09-10 Playoffs HD

I am finally done! My movie maker was going wild, so I had to take a day to fix it. I decided to try another type of music instead of the original overdone "epic" music. Watch in HD.

Edit: haha I already have a comment by a Ducks fan.

KingsVision asked me if I would allow them to post my video on their site and I said yes.

Nicely done!

I really like the part in the middle when they all look up to the scoreboard.

Not sure I understand the purpose of everything going in reverse speed at the end there. We are moving forward and not backing into the playoffs!

Forget to mention, really dug the music. What was your other choice you ended up going against?

...I think I'm in love. That was some CBC type stuff, right there. (The backwards thing at the end was a cool touch, as was the guys looking up, and the Quick save in the middle. Some really neat parts in this.)

I'm not a fan of the music. It's missing some spunk. Very good job though.

You should make my avatar next, please?

I get what you mean. Time is essential (past, present, and future), and I think you incorporated that aspect of it very well in the vid. Also, it looked pretty darn cool, so that can't hurt, haha.

No, but I liked it anyway. The looks to the scoreboard made me think "things are looking up" just like my hopes and expectations.

I totally don't dislike the music, using it at the begginning is fine but like where the hits and goals and saves come, I think you needed to add some uhh something to it, haha.

That's just my opinion.

It could use a better ending, but otherwise I like it alot.

Cruel, you could just lob off the end and cut something else in for the finale.

Oh, maybe, even, cut the reverse speed thing down a few seconds, throw the music you have over that part now in reverse, and THEN for the last few hits (editing hits, not hockey hits), cut in a finale piece of music. It would make it a lot easier to cut the music.

But don't listen to me, I'm just jealous that I haven't had my editing computer for 3 months and can't make my own video right now

I guess to me reverse speed signals a relapse, or rewind, or recap. A focus to the past, which is fine, as a throwback is good, but if that were the case I would use old footage instead of reversing new footage. To me, reversing the footage feels like it is building to something like "It all started here." Which could be really cool, if like you went back to each players draft.

OH now that's a cool idea! Reverse a shot of Kopi and then BOOM!, Kopi standing at the draft podium. Same for Doughty and Brown.

I am thinking about making a second vid, but it all depends on my laptop. It's going crazy.

Edit: I couldn't cut the music. If I did, not everyone would be in the vid. I actually thought about it.

It sounds as though you've got some interesting ideas. Maybe you should try retrieving your editing computer and making a vid of your own.

(Seriously, do iiiiit. These vids that fans are making are wonderful.)

I liked the music! Nice change of pace from some of the rock and epic music that is being used so frequently now.

edit: As a rookie in re: to making vids, how freakin' hard is to find these clips? It seems like such a difficult task.

Its a pain in the ass.

I have been recording all the games on my dvr. Making notes of the times of good saves, goals and hits and other random stuff like CU's on certain players, then skimming through the recording and recording those times I noted while watching the game onto my computer. There is probably a better way, but that's my way.

Though it got screwed up when my computer went the way of the dodo. I still have a lot of the games saved to record onto my comp when I get a new one, but I have lost several as well. Also stopped keeping my logs a month or two ago.

How else do the rest of you do it?

Has anyone figured out how to capture video straight from NHL.com's highlight section? That would make it a hell of a lot easier!

Mind-blowingly awesome. I downloaded that almost immediately. Epic stuff. So pumped for this postseason. No matter what is in store, this is just a great feeling to have again.
