1994: Cap a Bad Idea

http://archives.cbc.ca/500f.asp?id=1-41-1430-9216

Just doing random research on other sports lockouts and I came across this gem. Interview about the MLB lockout. Listen to the interview closely and you'll notice that a lot has changed since 1994:

Salary Cap = Bad Idea

"World Series in 1994?" Absolutely

Warning though, this might make some Expos fans a little testy

"This might be the last season for the Expos in Montreal."

Wait a minute... that speculation started all the way back in 1994?

I knew it had been going on a while, but not that long.

Aside from the expos... theres some good information in the interview about how the mood of salary cappage has changed in 10 years.

Can you believe they thought the NHL was locking out with its own cap, and now only Major League Baseball will be left as the only pro sport without a cap (pending a positive resolution today)
