We're moving in the right direction though. We played a bunch of rookies, didnt suffer too much in goals against as a result.

Regardless of how this season turns out, I will feel better about it than last year. We have more of a sense of direction and a much more salvageable roster.

Right now we just got to focus on Toronto.

If we lose it's over.

If we win, we continue

We also lost two 20+ scorers in Naslund and Zherdev, and Drury isn't close to touching 20 goals this year. Last year we had 4 players who scored 20 or more goals, plus the addition of Antropov at the end.

On this team, no one has more than 20 goals other than Gaborik... therein lies the problem.

Well fellas its been an entertaining season. Play these last 3 games for pride. Hopefully we can somehow someway dump Redden, move up in the draft and hope the new generation of blue shirts from hartford make a difference next year.

LGR (not you Dolan & Sather)

Thats the thing, it shouldn't be difficult for a "good" GM to find a couple of 20 goal scorers, or to not let the ones you have go to the KHL and the other to the thrashers.

We traded for a 20 goal scorer in Higgins and signed a 20 goal scorer in kotalik. We see how that transpired.

Real tough one to watch tonight...just gotta go into tomorrow's game and get a W.

If we don't get at least a point in tomorrow's game, we are out.

We win the last three games, we are in.

WOW, this season has certainly been a rollercoaster ride.

I don't want to say I told you so to the "dont sign Zherdev for 3M thats an outrage!" crowd, but I told you so. Something tells me those are probably the same people who were against resigning Jagr.

Neither of them solves our #1 center problem but neither did Redden & Drury.

To be fair and I love big Nik; he wanted $5 million a year after obviously playing out of his head in a contract year. Even at $4 million a year with Atlanta it was too much and a huge gamble that he only put up 45 points.

They're not done yet. Gotta take care of business tomorrow with Steven McDonald in the house. They always seem to play well for him and rightfully so.

It's still possible. NFL style rules now; you lose, you go home (or callup the Wolf Pack) go 3-0 and they're in.

Don't give up until it's over kids. Have faith and if not, well, maybe we'll see some more kids (Weise/Sangs) and get a coming attraction of next year.

We also signed Brashier so I'm not about to give Sather the benefit of the doubt here.

If we could just go an offseason without a UFA signing I think i'd be okay with it.

I wonder what kind of top centers are open in 2011.

Cant have been as bad as last season, well, maybe it was close. The streak of like 4 games without a goal was pretty nasty.

I'm all for bringing up the pack so they can get their feet wet in the big league.

January / February of 2009 was a pretty miserable time, but this season has been worse at times. There's been way too much uninspired and sloppy hockey.

There's still one more year of Drury and Rozi but for argument's sake.

Brad Richards-I'd do a 3 year deal for him but nothing too long or too crazy. He wants anything longer, no.

Joe Thornton-Pass, playoff no show and if he had a bad ending in Boston, in NY when things get rough......

Patrice Bergeron-pass, a little too banged up, and his potential isn't better than anything in the system

Martin St. Louis-a Naslund type deal (2 years) if there's a need for a speedy winger but not if they already sign another UFA.

Mikko Koivu-not good enough, pass.

Zdeno Chara-He's already starting to decline, pass

Kevin Bieksa-Good but I think the Rangers system will be fine by that point. Let's see what a Kundratek or one of the KHL tag team if they come over (Tank and Pashnian) can do.

Youd take Richards but not Thornton or Chara?

We are on different wavelengths completely.

St Louis is one I would def stay away from for a long deal.

Just got back from the game, pretty despicable effort. Not exactly the way you want your team to play when they're chasing their playoff lives.

It's still in their hands...

I would probably concentrate on either Koivu or Richards(because of their price) and wouldn't mind seeing a hard-nosed defenseman like Bieksa brought in as a steadying influence.

I agree... would much rather have Antropov or Zherdev as opposed to crap like Kotalik...

Sather refused to even negotiate with Antropov's agent because he wanted $5 million per year but had no problem handing out a limited to NTC to Kotalik with a cap hit of $3 million... it's not even just the money, his free agent choices are just flat out bad.
