You're preaching to the choir. The watched-our-captain-and-best-defenseman-and-alpha-male-Derian-Hatcher-leave-as-UFA-and-sign-with-Detroit-while-still-in-his-prime choir. Good luck in the playoffs.

Yeah but it wasn't 8 months after your owner traded your franchise player

Summer of 96 thru Summer of 97 was downright depressing for Hawks fans

Roenick traded , Belfour traded , Nicholls , Murphy and other gone. 2 yrs later Chelios traded to Red Wings

Just realized that tonight's loss clinched the Stars not having a 3 game winning streak the entire season.

I think a similar situation could happen with the Stars this summer with all the ridiculous rumors floating around and the unstable payroll.

Ribeiro traded
Neal traded
1 year later, Richards (unable to be resigned) Traded!

Gosh I hope this doesn't happen.

Ribeiro will be gone IMO, but it's not because of salary issues.

WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? STOP. STOP. WHAT? STOP.

/Norm Hitzges impression

James Neal is cost-controlled. If we can't keep a cost-controlled budding star from leaving, we dump everybody who is not cost-controlled to get 'er done, up to and including selling Eriksson and Morrow for cash.

If we still can't keep a cost-controlled budding star from leaving, we re-name the team the Dallas Stars Brought To You By Jerry Jones And Dr Pepper.

If that still doesn't work, we as fans have a duty to storm the Hicks Estate and grab all we can to stock the largest yard sale since they liquidated Enron.

James Neal doesn't leave.

I'm pretty sure Ribeiro will be gone before anyone under the age of 24. (Sans Brunnstrom. And Niskanen)
