Well, Labs record is 7-5-1 .929 2.16 Not too bad I say.

Just because he went through a stretch of tough time here in LA, doesn't mean he's a bad goalie. Being a successful goalie is lot about being mentally tough and self-confident. The skill has always been there.

Things Labs has never had going in his favor. Those two things are the reason that Labs will always be a back-up. Conversely, they are the reason Quick gets better results than his stats would indicate.

And that fine, he would have been a good back-up. He's certainly no worse than EE, who also seems to be lacking some self-confidence since his stellar play in his first year. I'm just saying Labs is a much better goalie than most of you realize, or, are willing to admit.

He was far and away the best goaltender in the AHL this year, it comes as no surprise.

We all had a lot of fun bagging on LOLbarbera, and I am certainly much happier with our goaltending situation now, but lets be reality. The Kings teams of the past few years were pretty atrocious.

With that said, congrats, Bernier! Fantastic year!

The best, probably. By far and away, I would disagree.

1-Cedric Desjardins

Games: 45, Minutes: 2455, Shots: 1021, Goals allowed: 80, Shootout 6, Average:1.95, %: 0.922, Wins: 28, Losses: 8, Shootout/Overtime losses: 4.

2-Jonathan Bernier

Games: 57, Minutes: 3366 Shots: 1807, Goals allowed: 114, Shootout 9, Average: 2.03, %: 0.937, Wins: 30, Losses 20, Overtimes losses 6.

Very true, but look at the shots faced. That's a HUGE difference. In only 12 more games, Bernier has faced 786 more shots. That's mind boggling. I wouldn't say he was by far the best goalie, but he deserved to win!

Desjardins had the benefit of playing on a pretty damn good team. Bernier carried the Monarchs this season, especially when they were decimated by injuries.

JB's .937 Save % is ridiculous, and on a team that gives up a lot of shots.

True. That's why I agreed he was the best, just not by a huge margin.
