If we take this one I think we'l win the finale too and finish 5th. If not I could see us falling to 7th.

I guess that is the million dollar question.

Before he got hurt I do believe he was playing with Hornqvist and Erat.

Alright, we got two more games, so let's make 'em count, Preds!

So glad that Arnott is back tonight. I have a feeling that his presence on the bench is going to be just as important as his presence on the ice.

He was between Wilson and Erat. Hornqvist has been playing with Sully and Goc for a while now.

I thought he was playing with Wilson and Erat before he got hurt. My feeling is he would take Legwand's spot on the line and then probably put Leggy in Spaling's spot with JP and Ward, leaving sully, goc, and hornqvist intact and hopefully Toots, Boyd, and Smithson:
Wilson, Arnott, Erat
Sully, Goc, Horny
JP, Leggy, Ward * can't remember which wings these two play
Toots, Boyd, Smithson *Boyd and Smithson could switch since they're both Centers

Why not Wilson-Arnott-Erat? That sounds like a good line.

Really Looking forward to tonight's game, also we might see a playoff preview. Anyways I'm thinking a low scoring game and both playing very defensively.

I'm also really looking forward to seeing the Erat-Arnott-Wilson line, that's the line along with great goal tending that got us the winning streak after the 3rd period meltdown against San Jose. If Arnott plays like he did in March (hope the injury is fully healed). This line is Money in the Bank

I'm thinking 2-1 Preds
(Wilson,Erat)

Oh and here's to setting a Franchise Record today for away game wins in a single season

Personally I'm more interested in seeing the captain on the PP; that first group with him on the half-board seems to have been the most effective the PP had been all year.

Congrats to the Preds for making the playoffs. An interesting match up tonight that will play in a role in determining playoff seeding towards the end of the season.
Not to mention one of these teams is going to set a new franchise record tonight.
Either the Preds set it on away wins or Phoenix sets it for home wins.

Enjoy tonight game!

Couple of questions though:
1. Who do you want to face in the 1st round?
2. What are your thoughts about Vernon Fiddler?

Detroit, not because I think it's a good match up but just for pure hate.

Servicable player. The Preds had a metric ton of them before but dumped them resulting in the trade for Boyd.

1. The coyotes or the Blackhawks, sheerly from a matchup standpoint. The Blackhawks are as hollow as a pinata, IMO. I'd like to beat them, and extract their candy insides.

2. It's hard to dislike a bluecollar guy like Vernon Fiddler, but as mentioned, part of the problem for the Preds was that they had too many guys JUST like him (Smithson, Nichol, Bonk) and not enough offense in the bottom six. A big reason for the Preds success this season is jetting out some of that "defense only" mentality and replacing it with guys like Boyd and Goc, who can not only play a shutdown role, but can also score 15-20 goals from that spot.

None taken! It would make sense to want to avoid teams like Detroit in the 1st round although it seems inevitable at this point for Phoenix. Fingers crossed!

I wanted to ask about "The Fids"( as I call him) since I wanted to see how much of a favorite he was in Nashville.
Certainly he surprised a lot of people here with his playing ability especially on the PK.

Fiddler is an excellent penalty killer. The loss of both Fids and Bonk were felt on the PK.

Tonight should be a good game. This one comes down to goaltending.

1. you guys!

2. Played well enough that on our budget we couldnt afford him. We will have the same thing happen to Goc in another year or two, I suspect.

First off, congrats to Phoenix also.

1.) I'd like to face Phoenix for two reasons: First, no offense but we have a tendency to fall flat on the road in the playoffs and I'm not as afraid of playing in Phoenix as Vancouver or Chicago. Maybe that's part of the recent past in which Phoenix has struggled and I'm still stuck on that, I don't know. Second reason is because even though we've made the playoffs four times (four in the last five years) we've still only played Detroit and San Jose. Phoenix would just be random and a nice change of pace. Actually three reasons, third....we could give a huge **** off to people who thought Nashville and Phoenix were dead franchises.

2.) I actually liked Fiddler but like others have said, we did have a bogus amount of guys just like him. I thought he brought good speed and penalty killing to the table. He was a little careless offensively but I liked him.
