Quick question about Farrell for those who have em...anyone know if the "block technology" on the L650 is lesser than that of the H500? I know H500 is the more protective ones obviously but just wondering if I should spend the extra and get the better ones because of the blocks possibly being stronger... I do play defense so not like I don't expect to take some shots to the chest at some point.
I do not know the exact side by side compare BUT I do have the H500 and have had a direct hit hard wristshot from someone who can bring it and I literally felt nothing. It absorbed it and the puck fell at my feet, it did not bounce off. It was like it just absorbed all of the energy.

I mean you look at it and see block and think about what if a stick blade or puck hits in between the blocks it would kill you but it doesn't work that way.

Also I wear the 5 pad compression shorts with the block technology using small blocks and got hit right in the ass with a slapshot outdoors as I wear CCM coach hockey pant type things with the Farrells under them and it did not hurt.

I am very tempted to try out their elbow pads made for football to use on outdoor ice because I wear 4 shirts and jerseys because of the cold and regular elbow pads won't fit underneath.

I think they make hockey elbow pads and hockey gloves.

It would have prevented this nice knock I got this past winter on outdoor ice.

No, you don't. Add up all the pieces of your gear and I have over twice as many gloves as that.

Helmet- Nike Bauer 4500 Had it for about 3 years no complaints
Gloves- Old synergy model from about 4-5 years ago. Palms falling out.
Shoulders- Sherwood 5030 These are amazing!! Next best thing to having nothing on. Perfect for a beer leaguer.
Elbows- CCM 4.0's from prob 4-5 years ago.
Pants- Nike Bauer 4000
Stick- Pro stock Marek Zidlicky synergy all beat to hell. Cracks on the blade. Riding it till it dies.
Skates- 9K Pumps. Pretty much the only expensive thing I have. Never go cheap on skates IMO.

As you can tell most my stuff has been around the block but that is nothing. I've seen guys with shin pads from the 80's and a guy with skates from the 70's!!!!

Shins: Nike Bauer Vapor XXXX 16"

Clear green CCM HT2 helmet? I want to see a picture. That sounds pretty neat.

Also i changed my setup list from CCM 492 helmets to the HT2 helmets. I always confuse the two since they look the same virtually.

After searching for about eight months, I finally got my hands on a blue CCM HT2. Haven't worn it yet, but it looks sweet. Mint condition too, AHL prostock with no logos on the sides.

Retail flop.

As expected when you design something soo freaking ugly. I'm sure Ovechkin would be sporting one in international play if they still made the stupid things.

You're right lol....every time I see a new pair of pant that look nice I have to buy them, I blame Mission and their dope styling for my pant fetish. That and with all the different teams that I play on that require matching jerseys and pants I have racked up quite the collection. I have another 6 pairs in the closet that I never wear anymore and have given out at least 10 pair over the years to guys sportin the ice hockey pant/sock combo because I am afraid they are gonna pass out from heat stroke in our hotbox of a rink....

Helmet: Mission M?
Shoulder: CCM 06
Elbow: Easton something super cheap
Pants: Mission something in the medium range
Skates: Easton SE10
Gloves: Mission something cheap
Cup: Generic
Jock: Shock DR
Stick: NB One95 Intermediate 67 Flex PM9 Curve

Basically I have a high end stick and medium range everything else.

EDIT: I actually prefer cheap gloves. I go through them quickly, but I like having newer, cheaper models that usually feel nice from the start.
