Henke looked good, though not tested too often.

Great game guys! It would have been nice if Hank got the shutout, but 5 goals and a win? I'm not complaining.

Yes, they are mistaken.

Victory.

So - let me get this straight. We have to beat Philly twice to get in to the playoffs?

Prust has looked progressively better and better since he got here. I knew he was a good role player, but just how good is insane. Heart and Soul player.

No.
I think 3 points could hypothetically get us past Boston.

Its always funny seeing fans mob Henrik's equipment when he gets a star of the game, one day a dude is going to heist his glove right out of his hand and run lol

Checked Shelley, pushed him a bit, then pretty much forced him to go. The scrap was about 1:15, no stiff shots though. A draw, refs broke it up when the guys were gassed.

All sam said was win both and were in (guranteed) I rather not HOPE MTL or BOS blows the rest of their games.

Yes, and at least 1 of those wins has to be in regulation. That's to get in ahead of philly. Boston is 1 point ahead of us with 1 game in hand, which they play tomorrow night. So we could get in ahead of them, but it would require them losing at least 2 of their remaining 3 games.

Sucks that Gabby didn't score in this one. He has struggled against Philly this season, mainly because of Pronger...

I'd love to see him get 42 or more goals this season.

We could also lose one game to Philly and get in if Boston loses out.

Another possible but highly improbable scenario is Boston going 1-2, Montreal going 0-2, and the rangers going 2-0 which would mean 6th place.

Good job tonight boys! Gotta come out hard like we did tonight against the Flyers on Friday. Just one game at a time.

Correct, if boston goes 1-2-0 and we go 1-0-1 we are in by virtue of more wins.

Winning both games against the Flyers will automatically place them in a playoff spot over the Flyers.

IF they only manage to get 3 of 4 points VS the Flyers than mathematically they cannot finish in front of the Flyers.

Than their target would be Boston. If the Rangers get 3 points vs the Flyers than the Rangers would need the Bruins to only get 2 of their last 6 points to finish in front of them. The Rangers an also make it in front of them if the Rangers get 2 points against the Flyers and the Bruins only manage to get 1 point in their last three games.

The safe bet is, beating the Flyers in regulation back to back games OR at least getting 3 of 4 points vs the Flyers to have a fair shot at finishing in front of Boston.

Boston's game against Buffalo tomorrow night is big.

Montreal-Carolina is also worth a look.

Man, if we could take this home-and-home with Philly, talk about going into the playoffs on a high.

Montreal is of no concern, to pass them we need to win out anyway.
