Sure it wasn't all Leggys fault

for not burying that shot, but on at least two other occasions last night Leggy was skating ahead of the play and was completely unaware of the pass coming his way (one of which would have likely been a scoring chance). Where Leggy used to be an underpayed excellent forechecker and backchecker with a modest scoring touch (i never was a leggy hater and thought he was a bargain), he is now an overpayed fair to middlin forchecker with very little scoring touch who's effort seems to have conspicuously diminished since signing his big contract. Seeing Wolski skate with the Coyotes makes me want to puke. He would have been the perfect addition to this team.

Yeah, but we don't have a guy like Fiddler to really help a line go. (Edit: Drrr, I was thinking of Stempniak, until I saw someone mention Colorado...)

The thing I agree about Legwand is his forechecking. He doesn't forecheck anymore as much as fore-harass. Skates in front of a lot of people with the stick out wide, but when he actually checks someone I almost faint. Of course that's always been his somewhat effective m.o. but it seems he's more satisfied now to just be in the general area. Also I guess the lack of offensive instincts we saw at the beginning of the year with Erat have become somewhat permanent. Still, I keep hoping with more time in a scoring role he'll regain some of his scoring sense and hands.

wrong again ... go back and watch the tape ... even Crispy was saying it was due to the slashes in front of the net before the puck got there

I saw thatas well, but in the intermission interview peterson did say it was due to the weber shot, so he may not actually be "wrong again"... i just hope whatever it is is a bruise and not a break...

and who would you have given to get him? Coyotes gave up Mueller. Would you have given up Hornqvist or Wilson to get Wolski?

Can we all just agree that the loss was not solely on the shoulders of Legwand and move on? If we really need to have the Legwand debate YET AGAIN can it please be moved to it's own thread? His paycheck really had nothing to do with the game lastnight.

Just watched the game...

The Good

a)Finally scored on the PP we were 0/29 if i heard it right
b)PK didn't look that bad
b)Klein looked good (he had 2 instances where he looked good on the 3rd Phoenix pp and then again on a 1 on 1 where he didn't let the guy get inside)

The Bad

a)Too many passes, we would of had alot more quality scoring chances had we put the puck on the net instead of looking the perfect pass
b)Penalties
c)Loosing the game
d)Oh and it really looked like Legwand wasn't really in game mode, no not because of missed goal, but i counted atleast 2 instances where Legwand was ment to be the pass recipient, but he was just skating not even knowing the puck was coming, once in the neutral zone and once in the offensive zone

Oh well got to pack our bags head back to home and win the last game.

Hope Hornqvist is allright aswell, him being out would really suck

But maybe hammer + oreilly + santorelli + late round draft pick might have done the trick.

You're the only one using those words.

No he's not. Pretty short sighted to pin the blame on 1 guy, especially since we were in the game until the last half of the 3rd period.

I have been wrong many times. I will agree But I was going by this:
Shea Weber's slapshot injures a teammate

The Legwand fanatics hear what they want to hear. I said Ward had a great pass to Legwand creating a golden opportunity for the GWG. This is now been quoted as "the loss is solely on the shoulders of Legwand." Riiight.

I look at this game as why I wanted to play the Coyotes in the 1st rd. Not that I think the Coyotes would be easy, but we would've had a chance. Overall we played pretty bad, but still we're in up until the end.

No offense, but Colorado laughs at your proposal.

Quantity != Quality

We don't have the assets to acquire Wolski. They want help now, not picks and prospects
