So being that the baby sharks are playing in the playoffs as well, do you think couture will stay up with the big boys for the playoffs? Or possibly one of the other guys that we saw earlier in the season like Ferriero or Vesce make a return? I don't think we would want to ice this lineup for the playoffs...
Marleau-Thornton-Heater
Seto-Pavs-Clowe
Torrey-Manny-Mcginn
Ortmeyer-Nichol-Staubitz Or whatever lines we see clicking
Just keeping couture makes things much more balanced and offensively more sound (I.E. No Staubitz). So something with couture and possibly one of Vesce or Ferriero should be an improvement. However with Worcester in the playoffs taking couture alone is pretty devastating (although they don't seem to be missing him TOO much lately). Maybe rolling 3 scorning lines something like...
I think Ginny and Juicy will be on the playoff roster. I also hope they keep the top line together through the rest of the regular season to get them back into a groove and then split them up for the playoffs. A lineup I'd like to see come post-season is...
I would only put the Burger line together late in the game where we need a goal. On the power play, I'd make it Heatley-Thornton-Setoguchi with Vlasic and Boyle on the points and the second unit be Marleau-Pavs-Clowe with Huskins and Blake on the points.
You double-shift Heatley in place of Ginny every now and then.

With manny and pavs taking most of the draws then sliding out to wing that sounds pretty solid.
I agree on splitting the big three for the playoffs, however I would keep Heatley and Seto together has they have proven chemistry. Couture would likely be best as the third member of that line. Marleau/Pavs is the other chemistry pairing.

So line those kids up with a speedy, responsible player like Manny - who has proven to fit in with anyone. Keep the Woosta kids together, and hold together a non-diluted top two lines. The fourth line shown has also been effective in scenarios where they play +10 minutes.
As TM said, Couture showed him no reason why he shouldn't be here. He's been one of our best players and that's going back to our losing streak. Would be stupid to send him back after what he's done for us.
