It may well have been the '95 Devils (the last team below a four seed to win it)...but we can't go below four anyway so maybe I just misread the op.
Well the '95 team is the lowest seed to win the Cup so yea they are the only team to win without home ice every round.

Ok mutts, give me one good reason to break up the top-6 as it was constructed (and producing goals). One that I won't laugh at.

Questioning why ZZZ and Kovy-Elias-Clarkson/Langs weren't kept together by no means implies that one thinks they know more than Lou. That's foolish and laughable. One must simply watch the games with their own eyes to see that the lines were working until Lemaire inexplicably broke them up for no apparent reason other than to remind us that we have a delusional coach. I ask you: Do you want constant line shuffling entering the playoffs? Now is the time the lines should be left alone and establishing consistency, continuity, discovering more tendencies, etc. It is NOT the time to be trying random combos with two games left. We know what works.
It is perplexing, but then again, as some of us have been saying all season, I'm going to hold judgment starting next week and see if this musical chairs game has any merrit.

Right now, 13 years later, scratching an already proven & effective Patrik Elias in favor of Peters would give that argument some validity.
he'd basically played the entire season on the second line! and he was a huge plus considering he didn't have a massive point total.

Well, he does love those types of players.

Albeit a little too much. That's his shtick.

I really can't wait till next week.

I think we have the players to get it done, I do, but I do scratch my head with JL's decisions too.

If it keeps on blowing up in our faces in the regular season... what makes you think that all of a sudden, it'll turn into magic once the playoffs start ?!?!?

"Next week." Really can't believe how close the playoffs are.

Damn time goes by quick...Seems like just yesterday that we ehhh not going to finish that. haha

Anyways, I agree that the panic shouldn't start until he starts line changing in the playoffs. We have to go with what works. A best of 7 isn't the time to start trying to figure things out. It's the 82 (should be much much less) that allows you to figure that out. Our top-6 should be what I posted earlier. If they show absolutely nothing in game 1, then yeah, do some tinkering, but let's let them fail before just breaking it all up.

Which is totally cool. I respect your point of view. (And it has nothing to do with having played the game, etc. You simply know your stuff. )

It won't affect anything. Playing at the rock, playing on the road, playing in Egypt, it doesn't matter where they play.

People get too hung up on the first round. What if we finish 4th and advance to the 2nd round and start on the road against Washington? I wouldn't like our chances.

I'd prefer to finish 2nd and the assurance that we'd not face Washington in the 2nd round.
How many teams had home ice last year and lost during the playoffs? A lot.

Well we'll finish 4th at worst.
