Since you're a Hawks fan, your post is a little redundant.

Isles are gonna get busy and that ****ing idiot Milbury won't be in the building. Thankfully. Safely.

I can't agree to that in the salary cap era in theory. Hemsky could be had for the right deal, though, as would many other players in the league.

FL's got a few veterans that I bet they'll be looking to move, with Vokoun being right at the top of the list.

Well almost any IMO. I'm sure teams would like to have Hemsky, but I'm not sure what they'd be willing to give up/offering.

I was sitting here puzzled as I clicked into the thread. I read it as Lebron Trade Fest at the Draft. Being from Ohio I didn't want to hear the Lebron was going to be traded. Glad I read it wrong.

Right. The guys I wouldn't agree would/could be traded are the obvious elite-talent players.

No, you read it right. Lebron is getting dealt to the Kings for future considerations. He's going to be our new "power" forward.

Price and Halak are valued at a 2nd, so... You tell me what this place thinks of goalies.

I'm sure Miller is worth a mid 1st at best.

When will people realize goalies don't have as much trade value as we think they do?

Why?

Niemi is playing great and to accomadate that 6 mil cap hit we will have to trade Sharp + Byfuglien + Versteeg + possibly Bolland to fit him

Not worth it for a aging goalie with 1 yr left on his deal

I'm a big Niemi fan, but Vokoun is arguably a top five goalie. If you can get a guy like that while shedding salary, you do it. The deal would have to see Huet going the other way which isn't completely unlikely.

The Bs trading Thomas to Philly would be a big mistake for them and the East IMO.

Because Vokoun could lay claim at being probably one of the best goaltenders in the game. You trade for guys like that if you have the opportunity and you're a franchise that's looking to do some serious damage in the playoffs for the next 5 years or so.

Have him play in the AHL until he demands a trade, or hits UFA.

Hawks cant afford to have a 6 mil $ goalie next year or beyond

And Vokoun is going to be 34 , There is no telling how well he will play next year

I'm quessing that Tikhonov may be on the move as well as Vandermeer (odd man out, bottom pairing)
Filatov - NY?
Lecavalier - StL?
Bos want Hall more than Seguin (if they get the #2 pick)
I can see Malkin if the Pens can get a top winger (that's salary cap friendly) in a package

If Hawks make it out of the West this year, Niemi will be the man for the foreseeable future. We'll pick up a good, cheap, solid backup for him over the summer.

If Hawks go out in the first or second round, the answer might change.

If people actually follwed junior hockey they would know this is not a horrible draft. The first 2.5 - 3 rounds of this draft are actually quite strong.

2011 = weak, not 2010.

Thomas will NOT be going to Philadelphia. If it's anyone who's bound for Philadelphia, it will be Turco or Ellis.

The draft is going to be sweet, especially when your an Oilers fan but Hemsky will not be traded. Were rebuilding, no point in trading Hemsky, he will help this team move forward and he wants to be here. I can almost guarantee you Hemsky will not be traded at the draft.

I really hope Buffalo decides to go after a #1 Center in this draft/offseason.

What I would like to see happen: (maybe picks included)
STL gets Briere from Philly
Philly gets 2nd rounder/3rd rounder

Philly gets Price
Montreal gets said 2nd/3rd roudner(if 3rd maybe a player included)

Pit(if don't win cup) gets Hemsky
Edm gets Malkin

San Jose gets rights to Kovalchuk
New Jersey gets conditional(if he signs a 1st if not a 3rd)

Tampa gets Kaberle
Toronto gets Vinny L

(NOT THIS)
Darcy forgets his ticket, tells Larry Quinn, gets told not to buy another because that wouldn't be a profitable idea and misses the Draft...Calls in his Draft pick but calls too late.
