That should have been a penalty for closing the hand on the puck

I like Antoine Vermette. He's a quality hockey player.

It is an important game, so there should be some people in here.

Meh, good call.

There really hasn't been much action one way or the other. It's weird. Neither team is playing poorly. It seems like both teams are playing well, but nothing...

A very sad attempt at playing off of "Carpe Diem," which translates to, "Seize the day." I'm drinking, forgive me.

I am disappointed no one picked up on my luggage comment though

I did understand what you were getting at with your Carpe diem reference, just didn't get how it fit in, hehe...

Btw, your luggage comment was pure class......satisfied?

Nah, I think Helm is built from the Draper mold. Fast, hits, mucks it up, creates chances with speed not hands, defensive. And Eaves leaves it out there defensively and chips in a goal now and then. He's not as chippy as Maltby and is probably a more rounded player than Maltby. I'd have to see Maltby on the shootout before I make further comparisons....

Oh. Again, I've been drinking, forgive me, wasn't trying to insult. I guess I was thinking about Fugu's contest for getting the most posts in a GDT, and since you pointed out that it's a quiet thread, I was trying to say that it's a good opportunity to win the contest

Anyone else finds Clitsome's name hilarious ?

Reminds me of that crazy helicopter machine gunner in Full Metal Jacket.

Helm's defense isn't in the same class as Draper's and Maltby's was, and it isn't in the same class as Eaves' and Miller's now, so that's why he doesn't really fit in the comparison. He's a top-flight energy guy, the other 4 are more defensive forwards. Otherwise, the comparisons you drew to Draper are accurate.

All these goal posts, haha, suck it, Columbus. I love that at least two of them were by Umberger. That's what you get for being a filthy Buckeye and playing in Columbus, you shmuck.
