movie you should all watch

I don't post much, but I do read often, and I must admit that a lot of people around here are sucking all the fun of being a hab fan lately. All the Halak vs Price debates, the Lats vs Pouliot, french vs english... Can't we get along?!?
Anyways the reason I'm making this thread is because of a movie I saw recently (you can download the torrent easily) that reminded me of our situation somewhat.

The movie is called: Invictus. Starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Daemon. It's about a rugby team in South Africa that had the pressure of a divided nation on it's shoulders, where the whites believed it was their team, and the blacks hated them because of that. And when Nelson Mandela came to power, his priority was to win the world cup of rugby, going against the beliefs of many leaders and people who said that rugby is not an important issue and he should take on other important things as leader. But he did not listen and focused all his time on this team. Basically this nation was split, and Mandela used this team to unite the nation together. He understood the power of sport on people, and used it to create peace. Honestly, one of the best movies ever. Morgan Freeman was born to play this role.

During these times, I think we need something to unite us all. I would like for everyone in Quebec to sit down tonight and watch this movie. Including the Canadiens and all the staff, all the politicians and media too. Hockey (like rugby was for the South Africans) is all we have here. We need to be united no matter the color of our skin or the language we speak. We must give our players the support they need in order for them to give us their all. So please hab fans, watch this movie if you do not understand the power of sport on a culture and stand behind your players. At least we'll all be on the same page, and maybe then we can stop hearing terms like "Halakians" and "Price fan boys".
Enjoy!

That was a good movie.

Can we have Matt Damon for captain? He would be a powerforward for sho.

And Morgan Freeman > Pierre Boivin as president

If you like Woody Allen or Larry David or both - "Whatever Works". Love that movie.

also, Micheal "2nd round pick" Moore's Capitalism (somewhat old now) is a must see even though we all know about the collapse

The Informant (another Damon movie)

Yeah, they should learn to be overpaid prima-donnas who dive when they're not touched, float through 90% of games, moan when they're scored on and bicker endlessly among themselves...all the while thinking they're superstars.(note: not Chile in particular, all soccer players for all teams)

Oh wait...err...mission already accomplished!

Perhaps we could borrow their shorts for Saturday, will let the Laffs cut to the chase when we bend over as soon as the puck is dropped.

I just saw Capitalism movie last night. Great movie. The informant though was not so good. Actually pretty crappy.

If you have the time some TV series can be alot more fun then movies. I'm in to action/suspense mostly.
My favorites are:
24 (best show ever)
Dexter
Criminal Minds
Lost
Prison Break
Heroes
Entourage (no action, but awesome show)
Breaking Bad (drama)

Make sure you will have time to watch cause most of these shows are highly addictive. I say wait till the habs are out, and these series will buy you enough time till training camp. Enjoy!
