one of philly or the Rangers must own a tie breaker with Montreal I assume.

Because if Mtl loses and the Rangers or Flyers lose in OT one of them would be tied with Montreal with 87 points.

Both the Flyers and Rangers can make it in if the the Rangers win in overtime and Montreal loses in regulation.

as a habs fan, I am exited about the game tonight ... I love the toronto-mtl drama ... can't wait...

Its nice to see you guys still hold on to something ... knocking us out of the playoffs ... but it also gives the habs a chance to poop on the leafs one last time, and be the final disapointment of a horrible season ... making you guys rage one last time ... priceless.

win or lose , this one will be epic ...

good luck guys.

I hope we win tonight if for no other reason then not having to listen to the Hab fans sing. The only thing worse is listening to Quebec's own Celine Dion. I can just hear the "na na na na" taunts if the game is out of reach. If we can win one this season, I hope this is it.

Hopefully Burke and Wilson try to convince them this is like a play-off game, and will be taking notes as to who shows up and who is looking forward to tomorrow.

Okay Leafs. Please beat the Habs tonight.

1) You don't want to lose to the Habs.
2) Don't increase Boston's chance at the #1 overall.
3) We don't want to play Washington?

Love,

Rangers

Works for me. I'd rather see the Rangers in over Philly or Montreal and of course beating the Habs in Montreal is always a good thing for everyone.

I can imagine the rant Tortorella will go on if the Rangers lose tomorrow.

Why is that? Two points is two points' is it becuase Philly needs 1 point while the Rangers need two to have that outcome?

Actually, this game has no bearing on our position in the standings and certainly will play no role in how the lottery plays out.

This game is only significant in the spoiler role or our own pride in defeating the Habs.

Because of tie breaker rules.

Toronto = low pressure
Montreal = Very high pressure.

It'll be interesting to see who shows up to the occasion from the Habs.

Last chance for the Leafs to showcase their talent for jobs next year.

Kulemin you want that raise right? Hattrick against the Habs tonight would be pretty good.

Ya. If the Rangers only get one point, they'd be tied with Montreal in points, but with less wins, so Montreal holds the tie-breaker. Philly can get one point and be tied in points, but Philly would have more wins, so they hold the tie-breaker.

ok.......boston does their part with a win today

now its leafs turn

The leafs will not win with Kessel out of the lineup. Not a chance.

I've rooted for you to lose all year for obvious reasons... but tonight, I hope you guys sexually assault the Habs on the scoreboard. Go Leafs Go.

If we play a part in knocking out the Habs this year it will make the off season be a little less painful.

Nothing that happens in hockey plays any role in how the lottery plays out. What Bettman ate that morning probably does more than anything.

Seeing as it is rigged, and Edmonton will not get first overall... Toronto is the best case to win it since you give it to an American team in the disguise of having a Canadian team win.... especially the worst offensive team in the league who happens to be American.

P.S.

honestly, I have felt guilty rooting against you guys for 81 games this season... its nice and sort of therapeutic to be able to cheer for you guys, even if its just for once this season.

Same.

No offense, guys, but the Leafs were hilariously bad to start the year and it was fun to root against them. Since December, though, they've been a much tougher team. They won't really win on raw talent, they grind out wins by never giving up and never giving the other team anything easy.

They remind me of the 07-08 Bruins, so it's going to be cathartic to root for them tonight.

doesn't hurt that it's a game against the Habs, either.

A Leaf victory today would be a bitter sweet ending to a dismal season for the team.

However as a original 6 hockey fan, anyone who is a diehard Leafs fans, has the Habs as their arch rival and least favourite team..

Being able to knock the Habs potentially out of the playoffs with a WIN would be SWEET indeed and at least end the season on a high note.

Lets hope some Leaf pulls a Boyd Devereaux hattrick stunt in game #82 this year.

Go Leafs Go !!
