Pronger is one of the best signing this organisation ever made, not only is he a force on the ice but he is clearing up our locker-room cancers which would have gotten worse had he not been here.

Oh but haven't you heard? Pronger IS the cancer.
Looking back, had we not made the Pronger deal we're probably looking at a top 7 pick this year.

If we had that top 7 pick and no Pronger. That pick would have joined the "party gang" by the time he reached the pro roster, and many more years of futility and excuses.

I'll take Pronger and his surgical scalpel.

Oh absolutely. I find it pretty laughable that anyone would worry about Pronger with some of the problems this team has.

There is no probably about it. The Flyers pick could be the 10th overall pick if they lose tomorrow. I'm a huge Pronger fan, but I'm not exactly thrilled we mortgaged the future for a potential bottom 10 finish.

Without Pronger we might be looking lottery with the way our goaltending situation worked out. It's a miracle Boucher even got 8 wins.

With or without Pronger they are not a playoff team. So this trade already in year 1 is a fail. Not asknock on pronger at all as he has been very good. Just not what this team needed, even a casual hokcey fan knew this yet the drunken GM did not.

Oh I completely agree, but if we're going to miss the playoffs it might feel slightly better if we had a shot at winning the lottery and getting a stud prospect instead of faced with a situation of watching someone else get a top 10 prospect while our farm system continues to flounder.
