Good for Tkachuk I wouldn't have minded giving up a goal for him too while we were getting lit up. I just hope we get the win on Sunday in case Teemu and Scotty decide to retire. I will be there cheering for them... haven't decided if I want to bring a sign or not.

Yup. Hell, I hope we lose badly partially because of Scotty and Teemu. I want this year to be as sour as possible for them, so they are motivated to come back and end their great careers on a much better note. A bad loss to the league's worst team would surely be pretty devastating.

What if it's so devastating it just makes the retire?

I dunno what to want on Sunday. A loss is good for the pick. A win makes the tickets seem more worth it and the game more enjoyable. I guess I could hope for a Selanne hat trick and a 5-3 loss.

I think if they were shells of themselves, that could happen. But Scotty's still a premier defenseman when he wants to be, and Teemu's still a great offensive threat(especially on the PP, where he's still one of the best). They know that this team has talent and they have the power to end things on a better note. But, we'll see, I guess.

Sorry, I'm just a sentimental person. I'd rather have the guys get a win on what may potentially be their last game and pick lower in the draft than have them lose to the Oilers. I mean giving Toronto their first win of the season was low enough.

Only if Whitney gets checked in the bench and then sulks in the penalty box again or NO DEAL.

I figured they would win on Sunday. Only because Scotty and Teemu may be officialliy retiring. I've had enough of watching Modano and Tkachuk going out on high-notes. If our boys are going to do the same, I want them to go out like they played in our championship season.

I've seen a lot of Kariya with the Blues and while he's become less of an offensive threat, it seems he has been working on his defense. Especially against Detroit he has been excellent, in Stockholm he backchecked and threw a big hit in his own zone to get the puck. Did the same against Detroit in the end of the season. His size is the issue really, not so much the awareness, it's gotten better with experience. But I suspect another reason for it is he has a history of scoring goals on the PK, he's the all time leader with the Ducks in the category and has multiple times scored 3 in a season. The only other Duck to have done that is Pahlsson, who did it once.

Bobby Ryan played center tonight right? How did he look there?

Looking at our last two games, none of our kids and fringe players are ready to step up. You can't expect Bobby Ryan to score all your goals and Hiller/McElhenney to make all your saves and expect to make the playoffs.

Philly needs an OT loss in the last game.

Rangers need to win their last game.

And the Ducks need to lose their last game.

And Dallas needs to win their last game.

Then we can have something like the 11th and 14th pick.

but knowing our luck, Philly will win their last game, make the playoffs, and then win the Cup.

..

any idea who the starter will be tomorrow?

I'm assuming it will be Hiller since all the other vets are playing?

Damn, Dallas wont win against MIN.

And I hate the Flyers with Carcillo, but they are too good for the Rangers.

And our Curtis - please get rid of him. We have enough goalies already. McDonald as a vet for the AHL - ok. But trade Curtis for future considerations!!!
