That was a blast. It's so great to have soccer in this city.

Nice. I gotta get the MLS package because I didn't get to watch this one. Ugh.

Rangers fan in Philadelphia invading your board.

If it counts for anything the Philadelphia Union is my favorite MLS team. Soccer is my second favorite sport and it is great to see a franchise relocated to the city.

I have pretty high hopes for Mwango, but to be honest, I haven't seen him all game yesterday.

When Le Toux scored that hat-trick, I was just hooked back onto the game I used to play growing up.

Mwanga did not play. I don't know what the deal there was.

I was at the game, had great seats in 126. Such a fun atmosphere. I thought it was kind of hilarious they stuck the United supporters in the upper level behind the end line when the rest of the upper level was closed.

The game was absolutely awesome. Minus getting into the game. Biden ruined that for everyone. I was in the Sons of Ben section and it was a great time. The tailgate was actually pretty big too.

On a side note, you can see me on Comcast Sportsrise in the highlights throwing up the Union U in the white tee shirt. Im pretty much a celebrity.

Wings fan who loves soccer here... I think it's fantastic to see the people of Philadelphia supporting soccer so well today. I know it may fade with time, but the excitement Union has generated is fantastic for the sport in the US.

Just learned about this today but women's soccer is back now as the Women's Professional Soccer (WPS). There are 8 teams of which the Philadelphia Independence is one. They play their home games this season at WCU's John A. Farrell Stadium. Next year they will move to PPL Park.

I didn't know where to put it, i think it doesn't deserve it's own thread but, shortly, Le Toux has been named star of the week.

Here is the link:

Maybe Raymond Domenech will call him for the world championship in Africa

You then may be interested to know that Kevin Casey was doing the stadium announcing. Unfortunately he did not say "bad guy goal" when United scored.

Speaking of scoring, the referees' director says United's second goal should not have counted, and a yellow card should have been issued per FIFA rules...
