the last game means nothing

it doesnt amount to a hill of beans for us long island fans....our team did more than any of us thought they would. so i guess we can be kind of proud of the boys. yes, id like to see them going out on a winning note by beating the defending champions, but id rather see something else.

**** the outcome of game, i want to see each and every islanders player try to set up matt moulson for his 30th goal. that boy has done what hes been asked too do and id like to see him rewarded with his 30th.

is it too much too ask for long island to have a 30 goal scorer?

I haven't been on the tank wagon this year, as I love seeing the team win. But I will reluctantly agree. Moulson's 30th is all I care about (maybe 2 for Okposo to get 20?).

The team should spend the entire night trying to set up Okposo and Moulson. Those two guys deserve it.

Edit:
especially Moulson

He'll get it. With the Pens locked into the #4 spot, they will be playing ole defense. Like the Flames did with the Sedin twins last night.

Isles win a high scoring game, 5-4.

Sorry, but I'm on the tank bandwagon for tonight. Like all of you, I'll be pulling for Moulson and KO to move closer for personal successes, but a loss tonight means we move into the 4th spot and throw in another Panthers/Lightning overtime game and we move to 3rd in the pre-lottery draft order. Still have a chance to get the rebuilds ultimate prize of the winning ping pong ball on the 13th. If the ping pong ball doesn't belong to the Isles, we are still in good position to hopefully land Gudbranson or Fowler at either 3 through 5.

id love to see the following: isles lose 4-3 in regulation with crosby getting no goals, moulson gets 1 and okposo gets 2 goals, a line brawl between haley, rechlicz and gillies vs rupp, godard and kenneddy/adams and then florida wins in OT vs the lightning.

It certainly looks like the last two games have meant nothing to the Islanders either, to this observer.
