We didn't make the playoffs, where are all the playoff push people now. Everyone knew it was in the best interest of this team to lose out and pick up Seguin, maybe Dolan will get his head out of his ass and sell the team to me for a dollar. Can't be as bad as sather.... ever....

Terrible.

Just Terrible.

This team should have made the playoffs with ease. A world class goalie and a world class goal scorer. Some solid young talent to go along with it.

Heads have got to roll here.

I think Sather should be shaving the back of his neck right about now.

Hopefully the Ducks get a point tonight, so the Rangers would get the 10th overall pick. Then hopefully they win the lottery and move up to 6th overall. Then hopefully they are able to trade that pick and get Seguin.

Not going to happen, but one can wish...

i would consider picking either 10th or 11th a good draft pick. again this is the lottery, we might not be able to move up to 1st but we can go from 10th or 11th to 7th or 8th, IIRC.

I'm lost, I feel nothing. Normally I would smash things and scream "**** YOU ANISIMOV", but now I don't know what to say or do. Maybe it's because our teams does exactly the same and show no emotions out there on the ice. I wish Cally and Avery had played, we probably still lose but at least we would've come to fight. This team doesn't deserve Lundqvist.

I'm going out for a walk.

Its not glen sathers fault, its purely the team and torts...

When it comes down to the shootout, you need your BIG GUNS out there like the flyers brought out...Brier and Richards. Where are our big guys?

Christenson/Jok/PA? They werent even on the team a few months ago...CMON. YOU need your big players...

YOU NEED gaborik in there...if he misses at least you say 'well we threw out your best at them'...

Its sad that the only guy who scored for us is a guy who should be playing in the AHL.
Gaborik is awful at shootouts. I wouldn't use him even though he is generally a very good goal scorer. I think Christensen and PAP were good choices. They did well in past shootouts. Jokinen is a choker.

Thanks to Gabby and Hank. Maybe next year they'll have some help.

This team was toast against the Caps anyway.

How stupid do you have to be to come and troll on this thread.....rub it in our ****ing faces many of us live and die with this team and right now was one of the hardest days of our year

Secondly i have been a torts supporter since we hired him but i dont give **** he should be ****ing fired for not having Gaborik out there

i would have rather let ****ing lundqvist shoot than jokinen

jokinen has been a joke since we got him and does not deserve to be there with the game on the line

FIRE TORTS
FIRE SATHER
FIRE REDDEN
i hope they are all gone or severely injured and cant return next year

Might as well give Jokinen's contract to Shelley.

Well, finally this team has ended up where it deserves to be. In the middle of nowhere. No play offs, no high draft picks, a bunch of overpaid underperformers. Feel sorry for a couple of guys like Hank, Gabby or Cally who truly work their a$$ off.
Make this 9th place worth something and fire Sather.

My sentiments exactly. Everyone is saying Gaborik. But Drury has the poise to handle these kind of situations, has been a clutch player for a long time and has been decent in shootout. He would have at least gotten off a decent shot. Terrible effort by Jokinen.

Trying to be as calm as possible:

After 65, 70 games we had no business being in the playoffs. I respect our guys for stepping it up, everyone had done just that. Everyone raised the level of their play, there's no one you can specifically blame for that. Rangers lost as a team, just weren't good enough. I want to thank them for fighting as many fans threw the towel at the beginning of March, Rangers made an amazing push for the playoffs, it was just too beautiful to happen I guess. There were letdowns, there were good moments and it's a beauty of hockey that whole season came down to ONE game. I've never supported the tank nation, I just hate losing and i hate sports in general as of now, but I really enjoyed every moment of that push. We're heartbroken yet again, deja vu from last year, but hell, there's gotta be something better in the cards for us, right? We've got an exciting, young team and with a couple of tweaks here and there I'm looking forward to the next season.

Ok, I'm packing my golfing bag now, see you in October ()

1). Lundqvist has proven that he is the player we need.
2). Please bury Redden in the minors, I don't know why you didn't do that when you already buried Brashear
3). Get rid of Girardi.
4). Let go of Jokinen, Keep Prust, Shelley, Anisimov,
5). Trade Gilroy and Avery for another conditional pick. Avery is too injury ridden, I love him as a player, but we've got good Ol' Prusty and Shelley.
6). What the rangers needed this year was 1). Fast defense 2). Great scoring from all lines 3). and SIZE.

Sather should also toss everything towards getting Kovy. We need Kovy and Gaborik and good sized lines and some fresh fast, Defense to get us where we are at.

We finally got the last bit of the equation, and starting getting #2.

Of course it's Sather's fault. The team was outplayed because Sather built a team that lacked the talent and heart to stop this from happening. The team was outplayed because Sather's coach couldn't build sufficient cohesion or establish an effective system with the team he was given.

EVERYTHING about today was Sather's fault, and the only thing for which we can than our lucky stars is that Neil Smith's Director of Scouting, Martin Madden, ran the 2000 draft and acquired us the ONLY player who kept this game close and the ONLY player who kept us in an 82-game playoff hunt.

Love Shelley
Love Prust
Love Henrik
Love top 10 draft pick
Love upcoming free agency
Redden Sucks
Jokinen on shootout team...why?
This team has no plan
Another year less of Redden, Drury, Rozsival, Brashear
Great game but we didn't deserve to win
Lets go Sabres, Coyotes, Predators, Blackhawks
God help us all

In all seriousness, when will Sather ever get fired? Torts should be, just for the shootout choices alone.
I was hoping you guys would get in.... rrrgh.
I really felt bad for Hank..
Sather needs to go.

1)upset
or
2)suprised at the outcome

take a step back, because if you didnt realize that this possibility could happen then you might be a passenger on the short bus
This is a TERRIBLE team

Really F Gaborik?? We aren't even in this spot without Gaborik so F you

Matter fact would have been better if we didn't have Gaborik..that way we could get a draft pick in the top 5 and Sather being fired
