idk where else to say this, but this place seemed appropriate....torts was signed as coach to a multiyear contract last season and you have to expect he is back next season since he was able to rally a team last year to get them in the playoffs and get a great series lead against a team in a completely different level than them and this year rally a team that did not play great together and was almost unmotivated the whole season to miss the playoffs by a point...i say get ready for next season and hopefully they get players that was to play finally

agreed. im a torts supporter though, so i have no interest in firing him. to me the issue right now is the lack of personnel on the rangers, and the fact that seemingly every team around us is getting much much better ever year, and we seem to be stagnant. go get me kovalchuk.

Yup. As much as I dislike him, you can't fire him now. We're invested.

That's not really fair. It's Pat Quinn's team, not Tom's.

Ha, I don't want him back.

Leave Torts back for another season. No reason to change the coach every year we have a average season.

If we do worse next year, then we explore the option of finding a new coach.

That would not be a smart assumption.

Kevin Lowe.

(Don't laugh. If Mess becomes the GM it could happen. And I didn't say I agree)

its just for discussion. to me the team needs to clean house and i dont think torts is the right guy for the job. if he stays it wont bother me too much as long as sather goes. but while i thought about it i also thought who would the team hire. when i couldn't think of anyone i decided to ask what other people thought.

Eh, Torts sucks, but he's not going anywhere. I don't know that there's anyone else appealing out there, either.

John Muckler, so he can tell Anismov he'll be nothing more than a 3rd line center in the NHL.
