Haters are going to hate, he was fine. Leclaire is not the reason we lost tonight, our defensemen didnt do their job on front of the net.

On the first goal, he made the save on the initial shot but it was a 4 on 2 because Alfi/Spezz/Regin extended their shift and turned the puck over.

2nd goal was a perfect redirect/onetimer by Vanek in the slot. He was left all alone by Fisher I think.

He stopped Vanek the first time on a breakaway but Vanek got a penalty shot out of it.

4th goal, again great save and Vanek batted the puck out of the air. Great hand eye by him, not many players would've got it.

5th goal. He makes two saves on Gerbe, Roy comes in for the goal.

I'm sure Ottawa coaches have addressed this, but sometimes it hard to change a goaltenders tendencies....hope he stays up more or comes out more to cut down the angles.
This.

Elliot has to challenge, as soon as he's deep in his crease guys are going to rip it on his glove side. Our D is going to need to do as much as possible to pick up guys driving the net and keep guys to the outside to allow Elliot to play aggressively.

Emery is way more athletic then Elliot, his glove was definitely better, Elliot seems to be a lot stronger positionally for the most part and I prefer his economical style when he's playing smart. I hope his glove can get faster, I'm just not that optimistic it will ever be a strength for him.

Agreed,

Elliott is probably the best technical goaltender we ever had. He's always in good position and he makes himself look big in net.

I don't remember Emery getting beat on his glove side that much. But his lateral movement were suspect.

all goalies let in bad goals glove high. Its one of the hardest saves to make. The difference between emery and elliott is rebound control. Emery would kick anything he got right out in front of him, while elliott seems to absorb pucks like a sponge.

Worst Daniel Alfreddson day ever!

OMG Leclaire, just trade this guy, he just simply sucks, his positioning is Gerber 2.0 out there, always exagerrating on every play and always plays nervous.Gives the team no big saves to have confidence in him, and just simply sucks, the columbus season was a a fluke because of how that team plays defence in front of him.

Also the Cullen Fisher, Michaleck line was awesome last night, if only Michaleck played as good as the other two.

I don't post here only after losses. I don't come here that often. The way Ottawa played out the stretch, they'll be lucky to avoid a sweep.

The division was there for them to take, and they couldn't even do that.

It's been painful to watch, and the eternal posimists will be crushed (like the Sens will be).

When has a team that limped in to the playoffs ever done anything. Especially THIS team and their legacy of playoff failure?

They have no chance against Pittsburgh.

7-2-1 in their last 10.
Leclaire sucks, any games with him you can write off.

do you consider 7-2-1 in their last 10 limping into the playoffs?

doesn't matter anyway - the GBHL is all random with all the teams so close together (except for 2 or 3 outliers in each conference).

Ottawa can win. they can also lose. At least with Elliott they have a shot.

Of course they have a chance to win if ottawa brings there a game it will be a long hard series.Ottawa is one of the hottest teams going into the play offs there not limping in at all.As for the division don't forget buffalo had a 13 point lead ottawa went on that 11 game winning streak and made it a very close race.Ottawa clinched a play off spot a couple weeks ago the games really did not mean alot the past 10 days or so.Don't hold your breath on ottawa beeign crushed it will be a good series.

Thank you.

And even though he'll never see this, I'd like to say kudos to him for his stand on Mental Health. Maybe one of the few "big names" you will ever see give credence to this.

As someone who once suffered from near devastating anxiety attacks for almost 2 decades(I started young), I can tell you mental health issues can be unbelievably horrible.
