The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I'll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show.

Just heard this on the radio...

I have to admit - Conan doesn't often make me laugh...but hearing about this move certainly did.

Good luck with that whole "career" thing, Conan.

Seriously, TBS?!? Since I stopped watching reruns of the Beverly Hillbillys 20 years ago or so I don't think I've really given TBS the time of day much. I know they have Seinfeld reruns, but that's still kind of a weak lead-in, unless you're counting on holding over the audience from Braves' games.

I'm hearing he's been named the new host of Lopez's show, and they're moving Lopez to prime time

He may as well be doing Satellite Radio or podcasts.

I am pretty sure I don't get TBS. Disappointing.

Me neither. I don't think I've watched it since 1996...and that was because the Pirates were playing the Braves...

I'm sure some Canadian channel will pick it up, even if Peachtree isn't showing it.

I wonder if Conan foresees himself replacing Letterman when he retires? Dave presented the possibility in January, I wonder if he broached the subject with Conan and that's what steered him to cable instead of competing directly with Dave?

only ten minutes--used to be 30minutes--10 minute of show and then another 30 minute break

TBS - The channel that has the worst amount of commercials I've ever witnessed, I'm sure some people thought it was just a paid programming channel when they first heard about it and flicked it on only to find that every 30 minute period is littered with 10 minutes of commercials.

This is a company that gets by purely off advertising, they probably should've gone bankrupt years ago but instead of doing the right thing and doing so, they decided to give as little programming as possible instead while having the most amount of commercials.

I might be willing to sit through their crap for Conan though, so maybe they made a smart move lol.

It's the TBS Superstation, that channel that only ever caught on because it played movies, and even then, watching one on their channel is tedious at best. Maybe it's a new era for tbs???

You have to assume this isn't their only move.
Still. Beyond baffling from a Conan fans standpoint.

Wow on Cable? Thought he'd go to FOX.

Oh well, hopefully there is some way to watch him for those of us who don't have cable, but I'm a little surprised he is going on cable.

TBS has tried this before with the George Lopez show, and hopefully they don't advertise Conan to the point of annoyance like they did with GL during the MLB playoffs last year. HEY DID YOU KNOW GEORGE LOPEZ IS HAVING HIS OWN TALK SHOW? How long did that show last? Lol.

They're very similar but I don't know if they're the same, hopefully they are and Canadians can get Conan

At least they got rid of that BS 'Turner Time'

I think Peachtree TV and TBS are the same in Canada, but I'm not sure. In America they appear to be different, because in American Peachtree TV is "WTBS", which is different from TBS.

Damn this is complicated.

It's silly to assume that no Canadian cable channel will pick up Conan. They show the Daily Show in Canada, someone will show Conan.

WTF. I don't even get Peachtree on Bell Express Vu.

Hopefully someone else picks him up.
