exactly, you do not get drafted 11th overall for no reason although i would be playing sutter as a 1a/1b with bozak to start off.
kadri is a center but i really feel he is going to end up on the wing.
You may be right, Kadri may end up on the wing instead of centre. I know that Kessel was a Centre up until the NHL and so was Nathan Horton and a bunch of others. The only thing is that Kadri is such a gifted playmaker with great vision that he may have the most chance for success at Centre. If only he was bigger and was better at face-offs. We'll just see what the off-season does for him.
So Domi Moore and Kaberle have the same value. Right. How do some of these writers get jobs?
It's for the Toronto Sun, written by the lowest common denominator for the lowest common denominator. It's not as though they're employed by a credible newspaper.
I hope your right . I hope we get a better prospect than Ryan . Chris Stewart baby!
But in a reality, we won't get a younger player of this calliber
I'd honestly do a deal like:
To Colorado:
Tomas Kaberle
Viktor Stalberg
Juraj Mikus
John Mitchell
To Toronto:
Chris Stewart
Kyle Quincy
A trade like this would be a dream come true for me... Quincy is a good young tallent, and Stewart is even better.
As Awesome as that would be, it wouldn't happen, unless Colorado couldn't get him signed (he is an RFA, no?) Stewart is such a rare breed of player, that every team wants. I pray something like that happens, but it won't.
Lightning Sports reporter for the Tampa Tribune (IIRC) was on the The Fan 960 today and he was talking about how the Bolts' defense is slow and not very good at moving the puck while under pressure in their own zone.

using his big frame to create space and his skating ability to find open lanes to drive the net. He stands 6-3 and is a natural goal scorer with plenty of confidence.
He's a scout's dream in the way he prepares himself and plays an unselfish game, making smart decisions with the puck. With his bloodlines, he certainly understands what it will take to make it at the next level.

Once again, who cares what nationality a player is?
I do. I like being able to relate to the players who play for my team, and I'm sure many others do too. All things being equal, a Toronto boy would be ideal, but any Canadian works best. That's why a guy like Tavares was such a big deal to Burke.
I like Russian hockey players. While I was happy at the Olympic result between our teams I also felt disappointed about the Russian performance. I suspect things will be much different on Euro-ice next Olympics.
Every team needs a Russian on the wing, a Swede on D, a Finn in net, a Yankee puck hog and and lots of Canadians.
Kaberle's value has plummeted basically as he is now a 1 year rental. However a 2nd round pick is a little low. Kaberle should be able to fetch a late 1st + B level prospect.
With all due respect I disagree. Matt Stajan says hi. Kaberle would more than likely sign a multi year deal with the team he's traded too. He's 31, has a wife, kids, can't be bouncing around the NHL.
I wish Burkie traded Kaberle to hockey exile in Edmonton for some young guns...imagine?
Kaberle would pay of the entire Muskoka 5 for the rest of his hockey career. Too bad Edmonton doesn't have anything we really want. Plus, Lowe & Burke hate eachother no matter what has been said. They do.
