^ Hatcher quote afterwards when he was tossed for boarding -- "He (ref) saw a trickle of blood and that's when he decided to give me five. I wish I wouldn't have let up on him. If I'm going to get five I might as well finish it."

LOL. Thats almost as epic as the quote from Hatcher after he was accused of biting Travis Zajac in 2008
Hatcher was not penalized for the alleged act, which surely will bring an investigation by NHL VP Colin Campbell. "If he's cut, good, but I didn't bite him," Hatcher said.

I just saw the goal highlights. Wow what a pass from Lappy and a beautiful slapper from Richards. Awesome.

Nice win. I don't think we'll win any more games if we play like this though. Boucher was 23 yo again, he even had a good rebound control which is something we haven't seen from our goalies in a long, long time.

Matty Carle played one hell of a game as well. He really deserved his minutes in this one. And Lappy is Lappy. I loved that signing last summer, though I felt a bit uneasy giving out a 3-year contract to a 36-yo with his playing style. Now, I don't really matter about that anymore.

Flyers, Ottawa, Coyotes, and Aves all won. And Phils dominated. Great night.

I wasn't nervous until the last 70 seconds or so.
Looked like they had pretty good control of the game, but yeah, a one goal game, a strange bounce, whatever. Felt good.
And I'm glad the P**s lost.

It's better than the old 90's devils series when we spend the entire game in there end, outshoot them heavily and they score 2 counter attack goals and beat us 2-1.

For those of you who haven't seen it yet, here is our Devils-Flyers story from last night via Michelle Kenneth: http://www.insidehockey.com/columns/6466

Here's the link from Fox Sports too, who is picking up our playoff coverage once again: http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/D...-1-loss-041410

Cheers!

got to give credit to Boosh

imo stars of the game were:
1. Booosh
2. Carle
3. Lappy

Got to love Lappy. Best million Homer ever spent. I wish Lappy was 25yo..

I loved our patience but imo we need more then 14 SOG.

Worst player on the ice was imo Krajicek. Running around like a chicken with his head cut off..

It's a little known fact that there is actually not enough devils fans to fill a building. They only sell out games the flyers and NY teams play. Their stanley cup "parades" look like a small company picnic.

Sorry, but that's not a Devils-Flyers story, that's a Devils story.

Although it's Eklund, found this interesting:
Quote:
* Peter Laviolette apparently went nuts on his team after the first period. Pronger actually told the press we should ask him what was said, but Peter played it way down.

One of my friends whose going is a Devs fan, and last time I took him up there was when we snapped the losing streak to start the season last year. Can only hope for something better than that.

they need to get jvr and giroux out there a little more. They played sparingly. Dont understand why they changed their gameplan inthe 3rd or so it seemed after dominating the 2nd. This team does lack a killer instinct. Thought that gagne htiing the post would bite them in the ass after nj scored.
