Penalties. 4min by Bartulis which was reckless and then Coburn. I actually liked what Cobrun did but he got unlucky with that call.

So nice to have a coach who will raise some **** if the team isn't playing up to expectations instead of having touchy-feely sessions.

Yeah Coburn probably saved a goal with that play.

4 min high stick was reckless, but it was funny seeing Clarkson pretty much crying

Cobrun was solid imo.

I like Clarkson.

Sometimes tears are unintentional especially when you get hit in the bridge of your nose which was not the case. I can understand watery eyes after a high stick like that.

I thought they started good in 3rd but almost right away Bart took 4 and we did spent a lot of energy killing it. I mean we did not allow a single shot for about 2.30min. We were done killing it around 6 7min into the 3rd and then Coburn took one. That’s half of period right there.

Sure we sat back and play D trying to consume our energy in 2nd part of the 3rd period. I have no problem with that, after all we were leading 2:0 so why take chances? I hated how we played on PP in 3rd. imo this is when you bare down and make them play. Play simple PP and generate a few shots from point, make a few bruises, ware them down a little.

You dont have to take high risk chances but to me you dont sit back. If you take it to them then nj is on their heels. They were way to passive and got away from what they did in the 2nd. They need to continue to pund there d and forecheck. The pp wa sbrutal at the end as again they didnt try to really generate any offesne and were just holding on so to speak

Keep Coburn with Timonen period, he played very well when the change happened.
Krajicek did not look good early, i'm not sure if i'd rather have him over Parent personally.

I agree that he did not look good early on, but did better later on in the game. Parent's terrible passing would be bad for us. The Debs would feed off of it. Leave the defense as they are.

Besides the bad penalty, I think Bartulis had a hell of a game! I didnt know he had a little meanstreak like that!

Bartulis has gotten into it with several guys this year, e.g. Cooke.

He was very solid, which I think we can partially attribute to some good experience at the Olympics, facing guys like Kovalchuk when he had even deadlier linemates.

He's not scared, that's for sure.

people are really complaining about the PP? LOL
they went 1-3. thats 33.34% if my math is correct. yeah that is freakin terrible
Honestly, if this team went 9-10 on the PP people would ***** about the one they didnt convert.
I have no problem sitting Kraicjek. He hasnt been that good for awhile now. You can see why he was on the waiver wire and there was little interest in him until we came along.
I agree. Parent in Kraicjek out. I have always liked Barts game. keeps it simple. not gonna really wow anyone but hes usually in good position on the ice.

Krajicek has met expectations but Bartulis is safer.
