Forget Theo, the Bell Centre fans should be chanting 'Bouuudreau' in Game 3. He's going to have a melt down one of these days.

The reason behind this is simple:

Boudreau is used to 5 to 7 reporters with note pads and recorders asking his questions about how Ovechkin might hit 60 goals etc. This time around Mr. Boudreau is dealing with English reporters, French reporters from both Montreal and Washington asking him questions that are tougher to answer because they are more knowledgable than any other reporters in the league. Boudreau feels the pressure, the heat and the spot light more than ever because they are favorites to win it all, they are playing Montreal, the controversial comments have already started etc.

I don't have to imagine it - we already see the effect on our own team - all season long.

Apparently, Kanye West doesn't think this is the greatest music video of all time. Still a cracking song though.

Bruce also thinks it will take 8 games to finish the series

http://lejournaldemontreal.canoe.ca/...15-043931.html
Quote:
Huit parties ?

on a side note JDM sucks anyways just like all the staff on RDS that dont know anything about the rest of the players in the NHL. They call Karlsson a forward, while he is a defenceman!

As much as I'd like it to be true, let's not make ourselves any illusions, the media are only doing this because Theo shunned them.

If only

Actually what he's doing is smart. He's taking all the media attention away from his players. Have you heard anything from Ovechkin or anyone other than Theo for that matter in the last few days? Nope.

Just basic coaching strategy to divert attention towards him rather than the players.

I think if enough HFers spread the word to chant "Q Q! Q Q! Q Q!" every time he does something at the games, as said earlier, complains about a call, whatever it may be, it could catch on

Anybody else heard that? Dany Dubé just said on RDI that Niklas Backstrom has an injured shoulder and he could miss the game tonight. They will decide if he plays or not just before the game!

Then it's a strategy he's been honing since the day he stepped foot in the league.

Yeah, as if he ever got a chance to do that in Washington...

The only chances he got at doing that is the games he's had against Montreal.

Yeah a lot of other coaches do it too. It's not like he invented the concept.

I wouldn't even be entirely suprised to see Varlamov get the nod. At least for the Montreal games. Although, you're probably right.

The Washington Examiner also suggested today he was only coming back from an illness:

"Nicklas Backstrom looked a little worn out after his illness earlier this week and spending what he said was "two days" in bed. Backstrom added that he was headed home for a nap and looked really, really excited about that prospect."
