I think I hate the Sharks more than I love the Kings

I'm an old-timer and I am SO jazzed we're back in the playoffs, but...

I am even more geeked about the Avs - not because I like them, but because I hate the Sharks so much. DAMN I want those sh**stains on the golf course.

I was more crushed last night than I can conceivably be by anything that would happen tonight.

That is all.

If Chicago, Phoenix or Detroit, San Jose and LA move to Round 2, the Kings would play the Sharks.

You can root for that if you want to guarantee yourself heart palpitations

I have nothing against the Sharks. No reason to, there isnt any real bad blood between the teams, plus they gave Robitaille a nice sendoff

I hate the Sharks too and can't wait to see them fall. It is their destiny. Anything else and the universe goes unbalanced.

I don't mind em. They make for good opponents. Take Blake off the team, I have zero problem with them.

They don't bother me either. But, it's not like I want them to win the cup.

I was a Sharks fan for half of the 08-09 season including playoffs when they choked.
that was the year where i just got into hockey. I became a Kings fan after watching their last game of the season beating the Sharks 2-1, and during the offseason. Ive followed the Kings since their first game of 09-10 till now.

So......I have no problem with the Sharks.

My main reason for hating the Sharks is because Northern Californians piss me off.

The Sharks have a winning franchise. Their fans are class acts, for the most part. The only knock against them I have ever had was naming Blake captain. Thought that was a very dumb move. Next to the Sabres, if I ever was forced to root for another team, it would be San Jose. To some extent, I consider them kindred blood.

I've got 4 Sharks in my playoff pool, including the entire second line...so obviously no complaints about last night.

Aside from that, I agree with Zad. Great fans that deserve some post-season success after putting up with so much BS these last few years.

The sharks have some of the funniest and best posters on this site.

Hell even their playoff avatars make me laugh. If we don't go deep, I certainly hope they do; they're due.

Amen.

Giants haven't won a Series since they moved west.

That's a good thing, too.

They're also very generous to a certain Salvation Army bellringer in the Summerlin area come winter time... They have also told me that the Kings are on the verge of great things...including the Cup within five years... The nastiest Shark fan said ten years...

All of them mentioned that they're going to hate playing against us once our prospects mature at the NHL level...and Hickey...Voynov and Loktionov came up by name in almost every case...as the ones not currently in the NHL at this time... ALL of them love Doughty to a point where he's their new favorite non-Shark...

I really like the sharks and i'm rooting for them this series. Its fun to see the young players in the playoffs, as they seem almost oblivious to the importance of the game. The Av's seem to be having great fun, but it would be nice to see players that have been around like Marleau and Thornton, get deeper into the playoffs. Of course the Kings were never in it in the past, so my feeling would obviously be a little different if the Sharks end up playing the Kings next round.

Pretty much the same for me. The only thing about them I hate is Rob Blake but from what I've seen lately they're not too keen on him themselves. Other than that, and them being a division rival, I actually like the Sharks a bit.

Earlier this year, the Kings beat the Sharks 6-2, and had a 6-0 lead up there in the shark tank.

I loved it when Jim Fox said at the end of the game, "I have just one thing to say: Beat L.A., Beat L.A." lol

I have a very hard time understanding why Bay Area fans hate Los Angeles.

Can they be so jealous of us? Hmmmmm......

Because the Bay area is a gloomy, rainy, miserable place.

The only thing positive I will say about the Sharks is that Zad is correct, the organization carries itself with an abundance of class, probably the most in the NHL.

Don't really hate the Sharks I just wanna see them lose, so they start to dismantle the team.

Why do you hate us so much? Most Sharks fans, myself included, actually like the Kings quite a bit. I've been rooting for you guys and if the Sharks can't win the Cup, I hope the Kings do.

I don't mind them unless we're playing them. Really, I don't hate anything as much as I love the Kings. Well, maybe the Sedins.

Well, I think we can all unanimously agree we hate the Ducks more.

I personally like Simmonds, Schenn, Hickey, Quick, and Brown a ton and you will be hard-pressed to find a Sharks fan who isn't a huge fan of Doughty. But, how can you not be?

LOL, nice avatar.

I personally don't have a problem with the Sharks, I love Murray's game and Pavelski is very inspiring to watch. Only part I hate about them is Blake but I enjoy watching him do absolutely nothing in front of the net (I.E. - Game winning goal on Friday)

Well, one reason while most of Shark fans were probably rooting for the Sacramento kings from 2000-2004. The Lakers crushed all of their dreams by having a championship down in nor cal. The Angels beat the Giants, and I hate the angels since they are a big Oakland A's rival.

But like the other said thats a shark, I have no reason to hate the kings. I have lots of kings fans, and they have the mutual respect for the Sharks.
