Anyone have the video of that war general talking in front of the Flyers video screen? Patton is it? I love that video.

I can see Carcillo making an impact tonight now that we have the last change and can get the matchups.

Boucher stays on his game. Carter gets back into form. Brodeur pulled in 1st period. Carcillo hat trick. 8-2 Flyers.

I also checked out some of his stats and I find it hilarious that he had 43 PIMs in the postseason of 86-87.
15 came on the infamous slash in the Finals. One funny scene was in the series against the Rangers, head coach Phil Esposito tried to goad Hextall by mouthing "Ronnnnnnaaaaalllllllllddddddd....." over and over and then Hextall from his crease gave him the chirping sign with his hand.

Yeah, don't know why I didn't make that connection. By chance, do you know what was the justification for the 15 PIMs as opposed to 2?

Wish I could find a clip of the chirping motion, but in my efforts, I did find some great Hextall clips. My God was he crazy.

My basketball game should be over at 5:30 so I'll have just enough time to get home to catch the start

He got a 5-minute slashing major (justified call) and a misconduct. It was a violent slash. Earlier in the game, Glenn Anderson supposedly slashed Hextall on the arm (but didn't get a penalty). Prior to the game, Kevin Lowe shot the puck at Hextall during warmups. Lowe was asked about it and he said "It was me. I aimed at putting it behind him off the boards. I do it in the regular season all the time, sometimes just flip it to the other goalie."

That makes sense. And yeah, it was violent. Classic Hextall though. He was never forgiving.

FWIW, regarding Carcillo, from Tim P.:

Quote:
Laviolette said not to be surprised if Dan Carcillo’s ice time is low again tonight. He said that since he is relying more on defensive players in the series and since Carcillo doesn’t work the penalty kill or power play, his ice time is going to be lower than normal.

It would be shameful if Bartulis will be benched for tonight's game because he didn't play so bad to be kicked out from the lineup, I thought that the 3. defensive pairing plus Matt Carle were outrageous.
