The other best team, we when up against at their school first (22 game season, two games vs each team). What happened is that the sheet scorers were student at that school, and our assistant coach always counted the score, and our team with 10 mnutes to play had been robbed of between 10-15 points by the students on the score sheets. We complained to the refs, but they said they couldn't do a thing. We tried to elevate our play to compensate but finally lost to 5-6 points if my memory serves me well (it was 16 years ago). After the game, we made a formal complaint to the league and high school commission, but nothing came of it.

When they came back to our school, we were so motivated, we completely squashed them. The end score was 20+ points in our favor, and they were pretty good, had more talent than we did, although our coaches were much better and we played as a team.

People who haven't played organized team sports don't understand how motivating it is to have yourself robbed.

People think the momentum in the series has changed? If the Habs player have any heart close to what my bball team had, they'll win tonight. to show Washington that the Habs can win against them, without getting any help.
I have to agree. How it turned out last game is not an indication of how it will end up. But how we will react, that's what is important. A character team will grow some hate out of that game. A character team will indeed remember what they did wrong and not repeat it. A character team will make sure this won't happen again, will battle hard, won't stop attacking and if they lose it won't be cause they're afraid but just because they were beaten by better.

Remains to be seen if we're a character team.

Let's go Habs!

What they've shown in the two first games tells me they do have that. We'll have to wait and see, but if they don't win it tonight, I think it will be pretty close, like the two first games.

I hate coaches who make things personal. It's a business. Coach as if it's a business. That's what the best coaches do.

Darche? Darche? Really?

Varlamov was nothing spectacular in the last game, he wasn't even better than Theo was in the first game.

Well in Washington's case it's pulling your # 1 after giving up 2 goals on 2 shots never mind one weak game.. Fact is Theo wasn't getting the job done in game 2 after a solid game 1 and he wasn't giving his team a good chance to win.... Boudreau made the right call pulling Theo in game 2 and it got the Caps a much needed very important win..

I agree Halak deserves to start this game but if he lets in a couple of suspect goals early or seems shaky in game 3 why not give Price a chance to see what he can do.... What do we have to lose?

I know the usual arguments for Halak getting the Habs into the playoff's so we should ride him no matter what since he got us there and how we shouldn't throw him under the bus if he struggles for a couple of games.... I appreciate him getting the job done and getting the Habs into the playoff's but if he isn't playing like he is capable of in a short playoff series why not try plan B.. It worked out quite well for the Canes and Cam Ward in 2006...

I would love nothing more then for Price to get his shot an emerge as a true #1 and savior of our team. Thing is, I just don't see it happening and imo Halak has already emerged as the true #1.

That all having been said, just based on the post season so far alone, in a couple seasons we'll be one hell of a contender.

I think a thanks is now officially owed to Mr. Bob Gainey.

Gionta and Metropolit went on the record with the following boring cliché... but I completely agree with them nonetheless!

=> It’s now a best-of-five series and we have the home ice advantage... Go Habs!

If they play with confidence (Darche’s giveaway was a perfect example... of NOT playing with confidence!), they could be the difference makers. Hopefully one of them will crash Varlamov’s net!

It was him or Sergei.

I was also expecting Darche out but Sergei did shy away from hits/heavy circulation on numerous occasions during the first two games so it’s not really a big surprise.

After the Caps' fourth goal, Halak should've been pulled.

The Halakians are out of whack.

I like both goalies, let's give Price a chance, and that's what the Halakians are afraid of.
