Guys,

Something to look forward to.

Prior to Game 1, Theo tried to trash talk Pleks by saying Jagr who, well guess what, Tomas responded by scoring the game winner in OT.

Prior to Game 3 now Ovechkin has trashed talked Halak saying he looked nervous. I'm predicting big thinks from Halak in response just like the way Tomas stepped up.

GO HABS GO!

4-3 Habs with Halak making 40 saves and holding Ovechkin goalless.

SK *is* hurt as per CKAC (Martin McGuire saw him limping after practice).

Sergei: -1, 9:05 ice time, 14 shifts, 0 shots, 0 anything else
Darche: -1, 7:46 ice time, 10 *****, 0 shots, 1 blocked shot

Yes, Darche's giveaway was huge. But, to blame the outcome, in a game where they were up 4-1 on one play, one giveaway (out of the 7 the Habs gave up) is exaggeration, my friend. Where were the other guys on the ice? Where was Halak to make the big saves we've all come to count on? Hey - where were the Habs to capitalize on Washington's 10 giveaways during the game?

Darche brings the size and sandpaper everyone says the Habs sorely lack - and a presence in front of the opponent's net.

If Sergei would create even one dangerous offensive chance in a game I'd start to see things your way but other than that he's barely a fizzle let alone a flash without the finish.

Refs tonight, according to the Sharks' ref thread, are Sutherland and Pollock. Both are known swallowers, so don't expect a tightly called game.

I didn't blame the outcome on Darche. Where do you even get that? Did you read my post? I said he was the main reason for 1 goal, which he was.

Bobby G - no, you did not blame the game outcome on Darche but others have. So, I simply made a direct reply to you and indirect to the rest. No offense intended. Sorry, if I did.

Seriously? No SK, no OByrne? And we keep Darche? and Bergeron? Seriously?

Over under on how many times Darche makes snow angels on the ice trying to clear the puck?

+- 7

Over under on how many giveaways Bergeron has in the first period?

+- 11

Who cares how the puck gets out, as long as it does. It's called "being strong on the puck" and it's hard to do with the one-hand reach in like a certain #74 likes to do.

FYI HIO didn't say he was a healthy scratch, they said " seems likely to be a healthy scratch" which means they didn't have all the info. They were speculating.

My biggest issue is not playing Ryan O'Byrne.. I hope I'm wrong about that.

But I'd take MAB put him on the 4th line take out Darche and play Ryan.. we need some big solid guys.. but wtv there is a reason why I am here and Martin is the coach.

Except he never clears the zone.

I was expecting Moore (our only successful FO man) to center our 3rd line... so I am a happy fan:

According to F. Gagnon (the guy is usually right):

Moen – Moore – Lapierre
Pyatt - Metropolit – Darche

F. Gagnon did use the conditional form... though I do second those lines!

The real test is tonight but unfortunately I expect the Caps to win by at least 3 goals. Washington is still the best team.

I'm ready to be surprised though
