Okay guys, don't shoot me...but did it seem like Erat embellished that 'penalty' just a little? I have a short attention span so perhaps I missed something, but from what I saw, I dunno.

Big win, a full 60 minutes of hockey, good hits, good forechecking, good shots on goal, good blocked shots, good take aways, a few dumb penalties but overall a great game.
Legwand goes from zero in game 2 to hero in game 3.
Gonna be a beautiful Wednesday here in Taiwan, but time to go to lunch then work, later ya'll!

Buf gave him a two-handed slash right on the elbow. I thought he was hurt from his reaction. He didn't even smile when he scored on the PS. I don't think the reaction was overblown.
This team lives and dies by Legwand, he was great in 1 and 3 but terrible in 2.
I have to say, the refs were terrible the first half of the game then swallowed the whistles, I was pissed because I saw some ticky tack stuff Chicago did that was not called. I guess its consistant but I don't like it.

Agreed, but I would've liked to see them call it the same throughout the whole game, not swallow the whistles after they've already set the tone of calling 5 penalties in the 1st. Oh well, I can't complain, we won!
Just back from the arena......WOOT! Great game by our guys. Just a really great night to be a Preds fan. Not too high, not too low is the playoff motto but I'll take this over the feeling after game 2. Great crowd too- I hope it came through on the broadcast.
You definitely couldn't tell by the noise level that it wasn't a sellout. The crowd was unbelievable!
This had to be one of the best games I've ever seen us play. We carried most of the game, and pretty much everyone played well...Erat, Leggy and Sully especially elevated their games. Good for them!
Officiating was the only terrible thing. I think the reffing has been bad for both sides this whole series. I haven't seen the Erat slash/trip/whatever from a different angle, but from what I did see the penalty shot call seemed preeeeetty borderline. There have been a lot of nonsense calls on both teams throughout this series, and it's annoying! I was afraid we were gonna start backing off physically b/c all of the ticky tack penalties, but I'm glad we didn't. It was awesome how physical we were tonight!
You know the Hawks are gonna be pissed on Thursday. But I doubt there will be a letdown from us like in Game 2; the crowd won't allow it.
Great job Predators! LOVED the hitting. After the two in Chicago I was nervous as I said pre-series we'd be ok as long as we had some physical play, and I didn't see nearly enough of it. Tonight I sure did, wow! If Leggy can keep playing like this, and judging by his tone post game, he intends to, and if we get Arnott's line rolling.... (The line played ok tonight, I thought, had a few chances, but we'll need new goal scorers each game as Chicago adjusts.)
Bouillon... just got this to note about your guts !
Annoyed with Barry Melrose after his post-game comment tonight that if Chicago loses the series to Nashville "that will be a shame" since he says they are vastly more talented than us. Watch the Preds on Thursday Melrose ... and shove it! (And maybe you'll even learn that our goalie didn't play in the recent Olympics.)
but talent doesn't always win. we've got a lot of heart and enough talent.
great game. it was nice being in the lower bowl but I wish we could have been in the upper with all the legit peeps. one dude was trying to tell us that Tootoo needed to be on the ice more. :facepalm
I don't give a rip if he says they are more talented, (Very reasonable. Even Steve Sullivan has said that and noted that's why the Preds need to play as a complete team, with good effort.) or even when he says WAY more talented. (Much less reasonable... Is their goalie better or as good? Is their defense better or as good? Are their 3rd line guys better? Is their coach better? Did we limp into the playoffs with 88 points or something?)
I only beef because he says Nashville beating them "would be a shame", with such feeling. He can stick that where the sun doesn't shine! Which is where his head has seemed to be about our team ever since he predicted Chicago to win the Stanley Cup.

Well don't fret, they exist everywhere in the building.
Leggy was great. Weber was shaky in the first but in the third he was back to the beast. Great hitting, and not just little taps, real hard hitting, especially by Bouillon.
Big saves by Rinne, even made some saves on himself.
Guys were getting to loose pucks and winning those battles. I was a little worried they might sit back in the third and go into that defensive shell but they kept going at the Hawks.
Great commitment by the whole team to win the game, they wanted it more.
I hope the team has this same "compete level" on Thursday.
I caught the end of the Chicago post game show on the way home and their callers sounded just like we did after game 2. Very concerned. Funny what a win or loss will do for confidence.
