Not good. Even more reason to win game 5 and give them rest, I don't want them trying to rush back for this series if it's serious enough to keep them out for game 5.

I was hoping for Kalinski since he showed some promise, aside from Nodl, who was highly touted and actually sucks, and Riley Cote, who should never touch playoff ice again in his life.

Man, I started thinking about the lines, and was gonna post some, but I feel like there are just too many possibilities now. If both Leino and Kalinski are in, I think Lavi's just gonna go through a bit of trial and error(although, when he decides to try something he'll usually give it time). I know I can think of several different combos I'd like to see. And if Kalinski is on the 4th and playing well, but the lines are generally not looking that good, I wouldn't be opposed to giving Kalinski a shot on a scoring line.

All I know for sure is...with Gagne and Carter both out, Leino and Kalinski are definitely the two forwards I want in.

Ice time will be interesting in Game 5... I imagine we'll lean really heavy on three lines if it's a close game.

Tough call, putting Leino Briere and Giroux together is a train wreck defensively IMO. I think Powe has to be with Briere. I would roll Leino Briere Powe. Keep Giroux JVR and Asham together as they have been decent all series. Then throw Hartnell with Carcillo and Richards.

Yeah I know it's a lot of guessing, but Leino and Briere played well together. JVR and Richards as well. After that it's a crap shoot.

Could roll a 3rd line of like Kalinski-Giroux-Asham I guess.

Laliberte is a garbage floater. I would rather pretty much any other phantom than him

And even if he's there, I don't think you can put him on Betts wing consistently given the type of minutes Betts plays. It'll be interesting what we do... can either just shift Briere to center, keep Giroux where he is and fill in and see what happens...or consolidate two scoring lines, and put Betts out there a lot.

I'd like those if Nodl was on the third line with Asham-Briere, and Powe was on the fourth line with Betts-Lappy.

I would make 2 scoring lines, Betts line, and then have the crash line from a couple of weeks ago together. Hartnell-Powe-Asham, They had some good games together.

Laliberte better not see the ice in game 5 though. If we dress him Lavi will just end up benching him once he remembers how bad he is, and we will be down to 11 forwards.

I love Kalinski's game, when he was up earlier this year he was great.
Nodl sucks offensively, but he has good size and speed, and is good on the boards, so he could at least grind. He played some PK for us in the past too.

I personally would not be opposed to seeing Cote play. As a 4th line energy guy who gets around the ice OK and finishes hits, I think he can do a job. LeBlond has been playing for Jersey.

If they have already declared them out, it must be serious and I assume they are out the rest of the series.

The refs are calling penalties out the ass. You lose 2 top guys who play the pk. I would think they would insert out of the bunch whoever is better at killing penalties so they dont have to overwork the other guys. Nodl or Klainski would be my guess.
Hopefully the devils think it will now be a cakewalk and the flyers come out fast and furious. shcoked they wouldnt wait until at least tomorrow to say this. Must be out for a while i would say.

Hartnell needs to pick it up. Someone needs to have a talk with him and smack him around a little, maybe dave brown

Richards-Giroux/Powe
Betts-Lappy

as 2 main PK pairings tomorrow I guess

Ugh, Carter finally scores and then hes out again. Who walked under a ladder, tripped on a black cat, and fell into a mirror?

****.

However, I can still see Richie, Pronger and Giroux taking the next game by themselves. I think the Devils spirit is broken. Hopefully Briere will contribute some too.

JVR only played 5 minutes in Game 1. Lavy plays with a short bench in close games. The biggest problem with Cote would be Game 5 is a road game and of course Jersey gets the mismatch/last change if they want.

It's not like after Leino, the Flyers have a group of future-star kids on call from Adirondack. If Lavy decides experience and banging bodies is important, there's no one among the call-ups that tops Cote in those areas.

Of course, Lavy may go outside the box and go with Bartulis as a 7th D man. I think he did go with 7 D a lot in Carolina.

if cote plays they desrev to lose lol. They have other guys who have more to offer and are better players. Makes zero sense to even consider spider rico. Someone else gets hurt during the game then your really hosed. Bartulis also played forward before he converted to d so maybe that could be an option as well.

Cote is garbage. Kalinski can bang bodies.

Cote can't pass, can't skate, can't shoot, can't play defense.

I would rather run 7 D than Cote. Like NWO said Bart played used to be a forward.
