NEWS, NOTES, AND QUOTES
Vigneault: Our penalty kill hasn’t done the job and our power play hasn’t done the job. Our 5-on-5 play has been real good. We came out tonight real strong and threw something like 34 pucks on net. We were good physically. Obviously, momentum shifted when they scored those goals, but we’ve got to find a solution.”
"We went out there, and the fans were unbelievable," Doughty said. "I didn't think (Los Angeles fans) could match Vancouver, but we did just that. ... I think we match up really well against Vancouver. Obviously they're a great team. They finished in third place. But if we keep playing the way we did tonight, we should win the series."
"We're really working with each other well," said Smyth, whose play in front of the net is a big reason for the Kings' success. "We're really feeling each other out there and communicating. Momentum is everything in the playoffs, and it's pretty obvious we've got it in the special teams area."
"It looked like a kick to me," Kings coach Terry Murray said.
Team scope:
Canucks: They have the experience, they have the edge at even-strength, but if the penalty-killing continues to give up goals at this pace, it will be another disappointing playoff for Vancouver.
"We've got some really good players that kill penalties for us that have done a great job through my time here," Canucks coach Alain Vigneault said. "And for whatever reason right now, we're maybe a half a second behind, and that half a second behind is opening up lanes where they're getting point shots, and the point shots are either getting tipped or finding the back of our net. We're going to spend a little time with our group here in the next little while and hopefully we'll get it back on track."
Roberto Luongo allowed four goals on 16 shots in Game 3, but he's not worried about a repeat performance in Game 4. In his last two games at Staples Center, he's allowed 12 goals in less than five periods.
"I know he's going to bounce back," Kings coach Terry Murray said. "I know Luongo. We traded for him when I was (coaching) in Florida. I know his character. He's going to bounce back with his 'A' game. And we're going to have to be prepared for it."
Kings: The unreal power play has been the story. Seven goals with the man-advantage in three games is hard to ignore. But the players know they can't stay that hot for the entire series and want to see improvement at 5-on-5.
"We're going to have to be able to score at even-strength," defenseman Jack Johnson said. "You're not going to get a lot of power plays in the playoffs. Fortunately right now we're taking advantage of it."
"I know from our side of it we're moving the puck very crisply," Murray said. "We got traffic, we got shots, we've got good chemistry going on right now and we're having good results because of that."
2. Luongo needs to bounce back. After a bad game this season he's always followed it with a great game, but none of those were against the same team in the same building
3. Kill a freaking penalty
4. Everytime Jones is on the ice, hope you guys ice the puck so the Sedins can get out against him.
5. Finally, did I mention kill a freaking penalty
Good luck, it should be a great game with the Kings trying to take a stranglehold on the series and the Canucks trying to even it up and get the momentum back going to Vancouver
Lets have a killer instinct tonight, they came out really flat last game. Would love to see guys like Brown, Simmonds and Greene set the physical example early and often, keep the crowd in it and hopefully get them to take some early penalties.

lol @ 4. Randy Jones: secretly hates the Kings or just that bad?
Lets have a killer instinct tonight, they came out really flat last game.
GO KINGS!
When do they not come out flat? The Kings need to stop talking about having a better 1st period and actually do it.
Go Kings!
The Kings need to finish every check tonight, especially against their defensemen. Throw everything at Luongo and do not let him get comfortable in the crease. He's had horrible rebound control all series. If Johnson was able to take advantage in game 1, the Kings would be up 3-0.
The Kings need to take control of the series tonight!
Good luck guys. This has been one hell of a series so far and you guys have played phenomenal. Especially your shutdown line. I truely believe that the Canucks will come out and steal one tonight, but if we don't, you guys will have the series by the throat.
Set alarm an hour early. Dragged myself out of bed but only got to work 30 minutes early. Work is having a wear your favorate sports team day. Lots of Lakers and 2 Kings jerseys so far.
By any chance, does anyone know how much 300 level tickets were being scalped for last game? I don't have tickets, but I'm going to go down to Staples anyways to try to get some. Prices online were ridiculous (100+ for 300 level). I'm going to see if I can get a decent last second deal. If not, I'll be getting hammered at ESPN Zone. GO KINGS!!!!

Depending on how he feels in a few hours, you might want to talk to Reaper.
