I'd say put Nodl in there. He is the only player out of Cote, Laliberte, and Kalinski that I would trust at this point. Not that Laliberte and Kalinski aren't good, but Nodl has been here and done that. It will likely only be for one game and none of these guys will have much impact or ice time (especially if the penalties keep coming).

Panacchio just tweeted that Carter is getting an MRI to see if there is a fracture. Another tweeter said his right foot is broken so who knows what's real but it must be bad if they already scratched him.

I am not going to say that we are ****ed until I see how we play.
Obviously some players going to have to step up.

This is the price you pay to win. Don't let their efforts go to waste. Flyers need to step up for these two guys.

if they are announcing they are out now, imo it is a long term injury. I dont expect them back anytime soon.

got to find a way to win game 5.
Guys are going to dig deep and find a way to get the win. Lets hope that Carter and Gagne's injuries wont keep them out from beyond tomorrow night.
I knew I was having too good of a week. ugh.

How about

JVR-Richards-Hartnell/Powe
Powe/Hartnell-Giroux-Briere
Carcillo-Betts-Lappy

And just roll three lines for most of the game and try to put them away. then we can heal up for the next series

Just read the report on the flyers website that said both players were "day to day"

If the flyers win game 5 they should be ready for the next matchup

We're ****ed...

I think we can win this series, but we're done after that. Carter was already at like 85% and Gagne was already snake bitten. It sucks because aside from the stupid/weak penalties we have been playing really good hockey. For the most part of last two games our 5 on 5 play was the best its been in a while.

You honestly don't think that they will be back for at least game 2 or 3 of the next series (if the flyers beat the devils). Their presence alone as a distraction will aide the other players on the team

I thought Carter got hit above the ankle on the Pronger shot that supposedly injured him? didnt think he would have a foot injury.
hopefully a few days rest will help out Gagne. probably has enough swelling so he cant get the skate on.
What is it with this organization and injuries to key players in the playoffs.

That cannot be right. He was hit in the leg, not foot.

How is Carter supposed to skate with 2 broken feet?

Gagne could be back depending on how bad the fracture is, but how effective is he going to be without his speed? He relies on his speed for more than offense, its why he is such a good defensive player as well.

I thought on carter's second goal he got his right foot trapped under brodeur -- maybe that's what happened.

From what I understand, Carter didn't break his foot... He was hit in the leg and probably suffered a contusion... I thought I saw the puck hit his thigh... but Iuno, I'm no doctor
