he did get hit in the leg. around the shin pad from what i remember. I think Carter even said that. he said he was fine, but he was probably jacked up after the game.
I think some people on twitter and certian blogs are jumping to conclussions. again.

best case scenario is we win game five, and everyone else goes game seven in their series giving our guys as much time as possible to heal

I think Boruk's report is incorrect which has happened before.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the defensive play of Kalinski and Laliberte miles apart?

I'm not a fan of juggling the lines, keep the bottom two lines intact, insert Laliberte and Leino on the top two. Otherwise you shorten the bench, and NJ has last line change and they'll go after a new weaker scrub line

Damn it! It sucks for Carter to go for 4 1/2 years without missing a game to end up with two foot injuries that cause him not to play. Poor guy. I hope the Flyers end this series on Thursday so that Carter and Gagne can rest up a bit and I hope that the rest of the team mans up and wins for their fallen teammates.

I can't believe how happy everyone was last night and Sunday night and now we have 2 injuries to such key players. If Carter has the same injury as in march we're looking at 3+ weeks at least. Gags probably less but still, he's not scoring but the rest of his game is very good.

Just plain old bad luck. Rest up Carter, and the rest of the team better carry the load.

Where is Jared Ross? He played well last playoffs...I'd rather see him up instead of Laliberte.

I hope the boys keep their foot on the throat of the Debs and finish this.

Honestly, I think Carter is alright. Something tells me that this is being blown up a bit more than it's supposed to be. I never really seen any news on injured players on NHL.com but whenever Carter gets a headache every reporter and their mother goes absolutely ape-**** and starting jerking off upside down on top of their Macbooks trying to get a story out about it. I think he'll be back soon, just a guess.

How long are we looking here? Just Game 5? The remainder of this series? The remainder of the playoffs? Somewhere in between?

We will be alright. Not having Gagne hurts because although he couldn't buy a goal, he was doing many many things that don't show up on the boxscore.

I know **** will hit the fan if we lose Game 5 and 95% of you will be frantically pressing the panic button, but usually (of course there are exceptions), Game 5 is a let down game for the team up 3-1 who is heading back on the road.

If we make it to Round 2 and they can be back in the lineup then that's cool, but if they can't we will be in some trouble.

I'm confused about a couple of things here...

1) Why did they announce this so soon, so the Devs can prepare to not have to deal with both players.

2) Carter took shifts after he was hit with the shot...now it can swell up after when you take the shoe off, but that doesn't lead me to believe it's end of the world severe either. (I also thought it hit in above the skate on his shin...which could hurt like a ***** but I digress.)

Its playoff hockey, we will never know.

I am suprised we found out this early.

It would be reeeeallly nice if Hartnell actually stepped it up now, but we have no reason to believe he will.

I'm hearing that Lindros might be ready for tomorrow's game. I don't want them rushing him back, but I'm worried about losing momentum without Gagne and Carter. Plus, we have a 3-1 lead... chemistry issues aside, this would be a good opportunity to work him back into the lineup.
