The Official "This Season Isn't Over Yet" Thread

Ah wait, you mean a team needs 4 wins to win a series?

I guess Ottawa fans (me included) are pessimistic because our team has never come from behind to win a series, except for when losing the first game (NYI in 2003 and PHI in 2002).

Washington did last year, Pittsburgh did it twice.

We're not as good as them, but ah well.

GO SENS GO

*hoping to at least get to game 6 for one last send off*

I am optimistic with the young talent we have, got to make some good asset decisions in the offseason .

I wouldn't mind seeing a Game 6 to see some more money going into the team's coffers.

this right here.

if we stopped taking some of those stupid penalties, and just focused on playing our game, I'd say we have a chance.

Win Thursdays game and use that momentum to power game 6 in Ottawa and game 7 in Pitt

We all know this team plays in streaks, and we always get winning streaks after losing streaks.

win next game, then we come home down 3-2, PIT would be feeling the pressure, they don;t want to go back for a game 7

one game at a time.

The only way I see this happening is if Brodeur gets the start.

I'm with most, if we were to magically come out of Pittsburgh with a win I would regain a spark of confidence that might get me all in it for Saturday. I'm just on a serious down after last night.

All and all, i'm really expecting Pittsburgh (and the refs) to finish us off on Thursday.

Bah!

win in pitt....come back to sbp feeling good and carry the momentum into a win and game seven becomes a crap shoot. just like we did against jersey a couple years back.

Hopefully the Sens can give us 2 or 3 more exciting games to watch before it's over. I'll be on the edge of my fat ass until the final buzzer sounds.

Agreed, it would be a minor miracle if the sens managed to get out of Pittsburgh with a win.

Well, the team better get their stuff together fast because Rita MacNeill has just left her dressing room and is about to come on stage...

This team unlike it's fans does not give up...thay will fight and fight hard and hopefully a win in pitts can lead to close seires that they may pull out.

I personally don't think they are that far off, maybe a save here or there, but mainly not being so lazy on their rush coverage in the defensive zone and thats two/three less crucial goals...i.e. enough to have one more game and a tied series.....

I will cheer till the end, cause to me hockey is entertainment, win or lose I love the excitement. Sitting there like an Eeyore lamenting every little problem and thinking i am smarter and better than the gm, coach and players is not fun or what i would call entertaining....in the end if they lose, who cares, the team made marvelous strides this year, and with some tinkering (any team want kovalev) next year will be even better.....

GO SENS.

I wanna believe its not over cause I'm not over watching the Sens yet, but unless Crosby falls down 18 stairs and injures himself (nothing serious, just out for the round) , its hard to believe we have a fighting chance, but ill cheer tomorrow regardless, one game at a time

I really want there to be a game 6. It would be nice for the Sens to put up a good effort in a last game of the year. If game 4 was our last home game that really leaves a sour taste.

I just want to see them compete hard and get back to playing good defense for this next game.
