This has been a great learning experience for the Kings in the playoffs. A long series is much better than a sweep. At least 6 games will be played.

I can't wait to see this team in the playoffs next year with Bernier in net and hopefully Kovalchuk on Kopitar's wing.

Kovalchuk on a breakaway > Frolov on a breakaway

Well, the team scoring first is 0-4 so far...might be a good strategy...

He wants to be here. It just matters now if the Kings want him bad enough.

A note here: He sure ain't helping NJ very much.

Wait, so we're not going to be handed the series? We're actually going to have to be the better team to win?

I'm disappointed but this will be a good learning experience for the Kings. Better to learn the lesson now while there is still time.

Kings scored first in game 1. A lot of good it did them.

It just really sucks that we could be up 3-1 or even have a sweep on these guys, oh well, it's great experience for the boys

He has 2 goals and 6 points in 4 games...not bad...NJ's team is built around Brodeur and he has a 0.890 SA% so far in the playoffs. That is why they are down 3-1 in the series. The Flyers just have the Devils number. I think that they were 5-1 against them in the regular season.

Not tonight they weren't. Jones wasn't scored on and end up a plus 1.

I think I was more pissed about game one's loss more than this one. Oh well, that's life, you can't change the score and I still believe that the Kings are just as good if not better than the Canucks.

If the Kings are going to be the better team, then they need to go out and show it by beating the Nucks on their own ice.

His point production is pretty good, but man Kovi does not play D. Several Times Philly has burnt him defensively..

Jones played well, make a few mistakes but overall he didn't cost the Kings the game. I guess that's good right ????

Eh, I don't think he's worth it. I think we can do better by getting someone whose decent at a better cost.

If we had won tonight, I would have expected the Canucks to drum us 20-0 back at their place. The team plays good under the knife. Remember, we were down 2-0 going into the 2nd of Game 2. If we don't win that game, it might have been a sweep or we could be going to their place down 3-1.

Hopefully we steal Game 5 and go into Game 6 with a chance to close.

In the games I have seen, NJ seems to over pass to Kovalchuk and hope he makes an unbelievable individual play to score. Did you see that PP goal he scored in their last game? That was pure skill.

He is still a better winger than anything the Kings have on their roster and in their system. Ovechkin doesn't play much defense either, but I would love to have him on the Kings.

too much hate on Quick. There wasnt a single soft goal in any of the ones tonight. He played lights out in games 1 and 2, and played well in 3, he didnt paly bad tonight, he was left out to dry a lot.

He still needs to play better though, not because he is playing bad, but becuase the kings need him to steal games for them

I think we're starting to realize the importance of having an experienced NHL goalie, Quick is good but he's just not cutting it when it counts.

Hopefully, Quick can pick it up.

I stand corrected on Williams.

Still I'm a bit mystified because 3 games is way too long to scratch JW unless he is still not 100% or has re-injured himself. Sure he screwed up in Game 1 but he is the kind of player who learns from stuff like that very fast.

He has a cool head, has a track record of being able to deal with and excel under playoff pressure, can stickhandle, can control the puck and can move it to the right places -- a few things the Kings needed a hell of a lot more of tonight.

It has nothing to do with experience. Quick has been like this all season, except for January. He was awesome during the winning streak, the Kings won a few games just on his goaltending alone. Quick just hasn't been able to get back to that level.
