This is false, losing would actually give them more rest, i.e., stretching the series to seven games.

We need to win and hope a different series goes to seven

I suppose, given how the other series in east are going you might be right, but I really don't want to see either of them get rushed back to play in game 6 and do more damage.

Also I just pulled an all-nighter, and the only thing on my mind right now is : LETS GO FLYERS LETS GO FLYERS

I am really curious about the lines for tonight's game. I think we could see a return to the "pairs" of players rather than set lines.

I hope those pairs feature a defensive forward with a center. But that would mean breaking up the checking line which has been effective. I think with the 3-1 series lead, the time to experiment (and probably go to three lines instead of four) is now

Richards-Giroux
Briere-Powe
Betts-Laperriere

And then interchange Hartnell, JvR, Carcillo, Asham, Leino, and Laliberte until something clicks. I'd also rather see either Kalinski or Nodl than Laliberte becuase we probably need the extra forward who's better at penalty killing rather than faux AHL offensive skills.

Not sure how much I think we'll win this game, but if my dream last night is correct, then it's time to rock the **** out.

Put the final nail in the coffin, and remember to take pictures of Marty's 'WTF?!' face, and just laugh in Kovy's. BOOM mother ****ers. Carcillo with the game winner \m/\m/

Thank you very much! You're the best!

Leino Hattrick. Carcillo beats the piss out of Brodeur for acting like a whiny b*tch!

Thinking about it I hope the lines would look like this:

1. JVR - CANNON - CARBOMB

JVR to replace Gags would make sense, more or less the same type of players. JVR has shown more skill, Gags the better forecheck.

2. Leino - The Illusionist - Le Hobbit

Leino and Brière worked out well in the past, Giroux fits in perfectly in my opinion. I'm a bit concerned about the defensive responsibilities...

3. Hartnell - Betts - Lappy

Energy line with defensive responsibilities. Hartnell "must" give this line some scoring touch...

4. Powe - Kalinski - Asham.

Another energy line. Just crush opponents and worn them out.

Finish them now. I hate giving teams a chance to come back.

Prediction:

Leino Richards Carcillo
Hartnell Briere Powe
JVR Giroux Asham
Laliberte Betts Lappy

I think all of the series for next round are scheduled to begin on thursday/friday of next week, so winning now would be the same as winning in game 7, except that we get more time off. This isn't the NBA.

That's a long week without hockey. A long week thinking about getting beat by the Caps too.

I also had a dream last night that we were winning 5-0 and TSN switched to another game because it was a blowout

Lets hope our dreams are right!

Yea I guess. How many of us actually thought we could go far though? If the Canadiens had upset the Caps, it would be one thing, but what were the chances of that?

Us beating the Devils just delays the inevitable, I guess. I actually think the Flyers could beat the Caps, but the margin of error would be as thin as paper. We would have to stay out of the box and dictate the game (something the Canadiens have been able to do). The second an opponent buys into the Caps style of play, they're toast.

i think the caps will run into some serious trouble with our defense. their defense will run into some serious trouble with richards, briere, and giroux.

if we make it that far.

I think we would have a chance, but without both Carter and Gagne, chances are slim to none. I could only really see us taking one, maybeeeeeeeee two games from them. Of course if everyone wants to step up massively, and Boosh keeps playing like he has, it might be a different story. Unless someone's got some mighty strong orange colored glasses I can borrow, I just can't see it happening.
