There's no way that Boston will trade that pick. Even less chance to an Eastern Conference team, less to a team in the same division as them and even less to one of their biggest rival.

Forget it. They got no reason to trade that pick. None.

At leasst Burke didn't tie his team to a small core of players who aren't going far in the playoffs with a soft coach for the next 5 years, I don't know if ill be able to stomach watching it
Well if you actually watched the series, you'd notice that our top 6 isn't the problem, which happens to include our "small" core.

The Bottom 6 is and they 3 of those Bottom 6 players are UFAs.

Also our D needs tweaking as well.

Ryan White would look better than most of the bottom six. You need energy guys in the low six not ones that think they are the next Mario Lemieux.

The only trade I would do is

Price + Habs first pick for OIlers' first overall pick + JF Jacques.

I like what I saw from White this year, well if Lapierre is gone this summer I expect White to have that roster spot next year on a line with Pyatt and maybe Darche or Moen

Oilers fans would burn down Edmonton in anger if this happened. Trade value is horrible in favor of the Habs.

I would like that the habs get big physical forward and good puck moving defenseman.

Some names Kevin Bieksa, Braydon Coburn, Dan Hamhuis, Paul Martin, Dennis Seidenberg, Derek Morris, Anton Volchenkov, Bruno Gervais, Keith Ballard, Pavel Kubina, James Wisniewski, Zbynek Michalek.

JF Jacques, Steve Bernier, BJ Crombeen, Colby Armstrong, Raffi Torres, Trent Hunter, David Moss, Curtis Glencross, Evgeny Artyukhin, David Clarkson.

it been what 5 years now Toronto doesn't make the playoffs and they arent getting any better. They traded for Kessel, who is probably just as good as Cammalleri and for Phaneuf who isn't any better than Markov.

They have 44 million dollars on their cap next year, holes every where in their team, no 1st round pick(which was a lottery pick) this year and next year.

They are far from being a contender. When you rebuild, you don't trade draft picks. Could you imagine had pittburgh traded their 1st in 04(malkin) and their 1st in 05(Crosby) for a 30 goal scorer/60 point player.
