Interesting and good news for the Yotes and for Spiller. I would caution however, that teams do this every year to boost confidence, to support their scouting staff and to satisfy the fans who hope and expect new players to challenge each year to improve the club. Quite a contrast from the report I posted the other night by an unbiased pro-scout saying he was the #6 Dman on the Yotes that night against the Canucks and a year or so away from making the jump. I think it makes sense like Vince says to keep him and all the other prospects in the minors until the CBA is settled. No rush at this point. If they do keep him, who is the odd man out? How will they accomplish moving a Dman that no other teams may be interested in? Simpson is too expensive. Suchy's contract is too long and too high and BF wants a big physical team so I would think he wants to hold onto Hulse.
