Martin is saying that PK Subban might get the call tonight. He said it is up to PG to make that desicion.
don't get your hopes up people, unless he was called last night and no one knows, there is no way he travels from Manitoba today to Washington, gonna be a really long trip for the kid

At this point, just let him play in the AHL this year and have him ready for next year

Marinaro has confirmed Halak will start. That's the right decision.

Well, I hate this decision.

Halak has been pretty bad last 10 games. Price has a good game until 3rd period.

I would have prefered Price.

I also would have perfered Price. I'm not looking forward to see Halak get mugged again. At this point, I don't think it really matters who is in net though.

Oh and it's been according to Marinaro on Team990.

Nobody else confirmed so...we'll wait a bit.

I hope Halak's confidence isn't shot.

Last thing we need is a 3-0 deficit in the first.

RDS's twitter account says the same thing. Not sure where they get their stuff though.

I wonder if that was the last time we will see Price play for the Habs. I'm sure that would make some people happy.

Am I the only one who does not want Subban to play this year or even next year in the NHL? I say give him games here and there but it would be more beneficial to be a leader next year on the Dogs and come more mature in 2011-2012. Plus we have not had too much success when we bring players up early.

he has nothing else to learn in the AHL, in his rookie season he has already posted dominant numbers all around, including the defensive stats

staying down there would only slow him down IMO

Man Halak gets zero respect around here from Price's loverboys.

Guess you forgot the fact that Halak stole game 1?
That Halak is the main reason we are even in the playoffs at all?

That Price has a garbage record this year?
That Price has lost 8 straight playoff games?

Halak has allowed 8 goals on the last 22 shots he's faced? And he's facing the same team that scored those 8 goals?

Halak is the reason we lost game 2 and one of the reasons we got behind 3-0 in game two, his brutal rebound control is being exposed by the Caps and he's too small to battle with their bigger forwards screening him. I'm still pissed off he tried saying the last 6 goals on him he had no chance to save, "the goal was a rebound..." well maybe you should work on your rebound control, Halak. He got us to the playoffs but he hasn't been good for the last month aside from a couple of games.

Price looked better than him last game and that was Price's first start in 3 weeks.

Price was alright last game, that goal he let in at the end of the second period really crippled us though. He needed to make a key save and didn't. Also, I think his last win was about 2 months ago. Oh and let's not forget his two misconducts as if the habs need more time on the PK.

The goal that Hammer let in you mean.

Blaming Price for that short-handed goal is ridiculous. It was on a 2 on 1 where Hamrlik made a disgustingly poor choice in pinching unsuccessfully at the blueline (might I add with 15 seconds to go in the period, up by one, with nobody in the zone to pass to if he wins the puck... ugh). As the Caps gained the zone, Gorges overplayed the puck carrier and left the potential for a cross-ice pass. The pass was a perfect saucer pass right onto the stick of the goal scorer.

Hamrlik made the worst play of the game, scratch that, series, on that goal. Gorges didn't make a huge mistake, but could have eliminated the pass and left the shot as the only option. Price couldn't do much to stop it.

His minor penalty for shooting the puck wasn't a smart move, but the game was essentially over at the point. The Backstrom penalty with 11 seconds left is a complete non-issue.

Price's confidence will get shattered after this season. I don't see how Halak deserves to get another start given how horrible he was in the last month.

I know your sarcastic, but he should have cut the pass and let price handle the shot.

No doubt, but compared to hamrliks **** up its negligible. Seems like the new trend on 2 on 1's isnt only to force a decision but to try and take them both away. Kinda ****** for goalies.

I guess for the sarcasm I should have picked cammalleri as he was back checking hard. Regardless bobbybrown should stick to beating his virtual tina.
