Well it doesn't really seem like Palffy did much this Olympics and his career will be finished shortly but it was great seeing my fav hockey player again in North America!
Yeah, I think this thread can pretty much be packed away into a box and filed away with the others. Zigmund had a fine NHL career and his big international moment in 2002. I hope he is inducted into the Slovak Hockey Hall of Fame.
Recently when Ján Filc was a guest at a Slovak TV show "Lampa", he mentioned that he asked Palffy whether he wouldn´t like to work for the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation/SZĽH and Palffy told Filc that he would kick them all out at the federation if he did. ("Ja by som ich na SZĽH všetkých vyrazil..."- for Slovak speakers.....ah Žigo, I´m so on that with you.....

Shocker despite the fact on how long Palffy stayed with the league. He had options on going to other leagues.. KHL, Elitseren, and maybe for a small contract, back to NHL.

Not at all! He never had any good words for the league nor for the federation, actually he always only had bad words and he even said that he´d convince all the Slovak NHL players not to play in the league before the end of their careers. The only reason why he didn´t take any of those offers earlier was his family and the fragile health of his daughter. Now that Pálffy has acc. to Czech/Slovak tabloids pulled a Tiger Woods and his marriage won´t probably exist much longer, it is easier for him to go KHL.

Yep. But it also has to do with the fact that his wife Andrea Belányiová is well known from TV, so was his ex-girlfriend Zora Czoborová. Believe it or not 1-2 years ago I went to the newspaper stand near my house to buy a newspaper and there was an 60+ old lady with the 50+ female shopp assistant there (I wouldn´t bet on them ever seeing any hockey) gossiping about Pálffy, his wife tec.

Nagy is in Poprad. but who knows, for how long? Im a little bit surprised, that Palffy isnt in MInsk. His best friend Stumpel is there, so i thought, it will be only a formality to arange a contract...
i heard that Skalica and especcially Slovan Bratislava want him. but, he doesnt want to play in SLovakia.
And i must say, im not surprised. He would have it very hard on SLovak ice hockey halls. Here are the fans sometimes very stupid...
