I don,t care who you are thats funny,
Needless to say big game tonight ,not so much for winning or losing but the beloved "compete factor", if we get blown out like the aves we are in trouble but if we play well and lose we still have sunday and then game seven.Heres to the Zeus, smyth, modin, halpern and williams doing what they were brought here for.
I LOVE AND HATE THE FACT THAT IN THE NHL YOU HAVE TO LEARN TO WIN NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU ARE ,heres to are kids being fast learners go kings go
I still feel the key to our winning tonight is that if we get a lead for our captain to turn to Murray and tell him"we've got it from here" and just tune him out the rest of the way. If you look at his entire career we are experiencing what Murray has brought to every team and every playoff game he has coached and that is inconsistent messaging to his players paired with his falling into the trap of playing not to lose.
In our two losses against the knuckleheads you could see the let down before they happened. You watch us slow our attack and start trying to flood the neutral zone (stand up across the blue line) and all we end up doing is allowing the nucks to build speed and force their attack. Play the way you did to get the lead and then keep it up until the end of the game. That's what I was always told and while I'm no NHLer, i won my share of pee wee and juniour a championships to know that you don't change what works, and that is what we have done all through the playoffs, (and allot during the regular season once we got a lead) we have just been good enough and lucky enough to win 2 of the four we have played.
Its why Murray was replaced each time it happened.
Ask a Phil or Fla fan.
Go us and beat these stinkin island dwellen softies. The last time I saw two uglier twins than the Sedin's I married one of them. Well at least she didn't have red hair.
