Nashville Predators vs. Chicago Blackhwaks
United Center - Chicago, IL
Series Tied 2-2
Game 1: 4/16 Nashville wins 4-1
Game 2: 4/18 Chicago wins 2-0
Game 3: 4/20 Nashville wins 4-1
Game 4: 4/22 Chicago wins 3-0
Game 5: Saturday 4/24 at Chicago @ 2 PM
Game 6: Monday 4/26 at Nashville
Game 7: Wednesday 4/28 at Chicago (if needed)
But its now a best of 3 game series, Preds win one more and the enormous pressure gets placed on Chicago coming back to Nashville.
Thoughts on if this is a realistic must win or not?
4-1, get shut out, 4-1, get shut out...hope the trend continues and we pull it out tonight.
We lose tonight and the series is over IMO.
Would love Horns to play tonight. 100% or not he gives everything he has, every shift. I'll take 100% of whatever he can give over 100% of nothing everyone else gave last game.
I can't understand how Arnott can put on his jersey and then coast through an entire game. My wife has even made comments that he looks like he doesn't care. He gets the puck and automatically either takes a slapshot or throws a blind, backhand pass to no one. Doesn't skate and obviously can't motivate the team. Why is he our captain again?
Wilson needs to grow a pair. He's been almost as invisible as our valiant leader. Take a shot already. You dont have to pass it to Erat everytime you get the puck. I really liked his game when he was called back up, but down the stretch and throughout this series I'd just assume have Jones out there. I will say though. No one seems to get him off the puck. I have been impressed in that regard.
Obviously big game tonight, I'm really expecting us to come out hard tonight, because Thursday was just really bad...
I would like to see some line shuffling going on and maybe a Erat - Legwand - Wilson or Sully - Legwand - Erat line as our top line tonight for some obvious reason from this series...
Oddly enough i have a good feeling about this game, and I'll say it, if we score a few goals and Rinne is on his game we got this one, but only time will tell...
I don't get the premise of the thread? You told another poster you had it, so you could say failboat? I guess you are referring to the Blackhawks though.
Home ice or away doesn't matter to this team as far as wins and losses all that much. So the Preds win this (more overdue players...), shocking Chicago, and close it out on Monday!
I keep seeing people say big game tonight. It's a 2PM game for us. Just don't want anyone missing it.
Applause... big game TODAY, sports fans. Let's get our minds and livers in gear here.
Thursday night was dreadful. Unforgivable. There is no excuse for the way the team played that night. We HAVE to come out hard today. If we don't start taking the body and making it next to impossible to Chicago to set up early this game is over. If Chicago scores in the first ten minutes, this game is as good as done. I used to be skeptical or negative for good mojo, but I truly believe this is how it'll be. The teams have felt one another out. They know what to expect. Chicago knows if they can go for the kill early they can nearly negate (a-a-a-alliteration!!) our team strategy. The first period will show which team is dictating the play, and if we aren't that team I think we will be hanging them up after game six.
We have nearly an entire team of hard-nosed, hard-hitting hockey players. There is absolutely no reason we shouldn't be stepping on the ice with bad intentions this afternoon. (p.s. "bad intentions" is NOT meant to imply intent to injure. Just intent to royally **** people up)
This GDT should be called the "Hide the women and children, put the dog in another room, secure all breakable items, hide all sharp objects and pray for death: the Preds are on the power play GDT Edition".
C'mon Preds. Be like Tiger today... score early and often.
