If the hoodie doesn't draft Myron Rolle. I swear I will drive to Foxboro and Garrott the SOB with the string from his sweatshirt!

I barely watch the NFL any more, partly because now living in Taiwan, but also because my favorite team the Chiefs find new ways to suck every year.

Get your alibi ready...

I think they made a fine pick.

I don't know New England's needs, but the corner they took seems fair. I thought he was a bit overrated though. But where they got him, it was fine.

I will say I loved the pick right after the hoodie. The Tuna has Miami on the rise. Jared Odrick is a big man, and a ton (maybe almost literally, haha) of it is muscle. He's going to be a player.

1) Rolle is projected for the later rounds so the hoodie is still in play.

2) McCourty was a HUGE head scratcher since the biggest weakness was the pass rush. But with the AFC east has become WR central it's an ok move.

100,000 for a hockey game. That should be insane.

About ten seconds before Kane scored, my TV fell over. On my glasses. The glasses are okay, but the LCD in the TV is cracked. And then my computer crashed.

What did I do to deserve this? It's not like I've been bayoneting Belgian babies.

Yeah, having the flaming thumbtacks pick up the player who I think will be the steal of the draft hurts.....a lot.

Last draft, he was a 1st rounder but since the coaching world got wind he might be smarter than them, that scared them off.

Good job Fisher, you got yourself a player.

Of course I could ask, did the Titans draft him or Vanderbilt Medical Center?

I love Dan Ellis' attitude: "Ryan Miller said it best...they never said what order you need to win! Speaking of winning a 7 game series"

Sad thing is that when I saw this the first thing I thought of is "Damn, if the government's solution for Ft. Campbell is keep them from going to Preds games then the attendance is going to be hurt."

I think it'd be sick as hell if Tennessee had an MLB team. What are your thoughts?

I can't stand MLB ... there are too many teams within driving distance (Reds, Cards & Braves) to plop one in Music City

Tennessee has a better chance of getting a second NHL team than an MLB franchise for a number of reasons, most of which pertain to the great deal of money it would cost just to get the team's foot in the door competitively. Besides, we would just get buried under the Yankees, Red Sox, and Phillies. Baseball Tonight probably spent a good 15 minutes on a Boston injury report last Thursday.

I do agree with one thing, though: Tennessee needs a major summer sport. I would still love to see the city get in on the bidding for one of the next two MLS franchises. A good, 23,000 seat soccer-specific stadium can be built for <$150M, and it could also serve as an outdoor concert venue for shows that might not sell out at LP Field, and MLS ticket prices are relatively low.

Fav Cubs joke:

Five Chicago sports fans were climbing a mountain one day. Each was a fan of a different Chicago sports team and each proclaimed to be the most loyal to their team. As they climbed higher, they argued as to which one of them was the most loyal of all. They continued fighting until they reached the top. The Blackhawk’s fan hurled himself off the mountain, shouting, "this is for the Hawks" as he fell to his doom. Not wanting to be outdone the Bulls fan threw himself off the edge shouting "this is for the greatest team of the 90's" then the Bears fan jumped and said " this is for DA COACH" the two remaining fans looked at each other in stunned silence. After a minute the Sox fan bellowed... "THIS IS FOR THE SOUTH SIDE!" AND THEN HE PUSHED THE CUBS FAN OFF THE MOUNTAIN!!!!

After reading history I have come to the conclusion that Canada's history is really a Monty Python sketch. I can't understand why Canadian history isn't studied more. It's the ultimate battle between the incompetence of British Monarchy and the incompetence of the French Military

Here's an example.

I was never there, but from what I've heard of the old np.com boards, they were not that bad, and they were nothing like this anyway.
