Maybe this is the best thread for this maybe not, buttt...
Does anyone have any soccer tutorial websites/dvds/somethings? I just signed up for a rec league and went out to kick with a friend and can barely kick it 25-30 yards and am having trouble getting a high cross/chip. The last time I played was probably 12 years ago so yeah...I'm thinking I miiighhttt need a refresher course.
No worries. We lost on another PK. Defender handball in the box. The redbulls supporters section was a joke. We were 10x louder than them. Le Toux missed a ton of chances. Fred makes so many questionable plays. Ah well, we'll get em next time. BlackBerry9630/5.0.0.591 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105
We marched about 300-350 people from penn station to red bull arena and took over thier feild.
They lumped all us SOB's in section 220. The security guards gave us a nice speach on how they wouldn't tolerate us wondering from our section or using profanity, and even kicked some of us out after a smoke-bomb was set off when Le Toux tied it at 1... But that's all fine and dandy when the home town supporters do it
We filled all of 219, 220 and 221 there were more of us than the idiots across the feild.
Our songs completely overpowered everything else in the arena and even though our boys lost, we showed who was the dominant fanbase. After all, we have almost as many season ticket holders as they have average attendance.
We had to be escorted out of the arena by security in case anything "escolated". That didn't help, as i saw atleast 5 people from both sides being taken away in cuffs and saw a bunch of moron Red Bull fans throwing rocks at a Union fan bus, which broke about 3 windows.
But yet, they still maintain that they're above a rivalry with us.
Can't wait for those Red Bulls to come to our neck of the woods.
we've won as many cups as you, metro, metro
we've won as many cups as you, and we just got a team.
If that's all that was up there, I dunno what that is saying about your supporters section. From where I was sitting, we were 100x louder than you.
Also, on my walk back to the car, I kept getting told from red bulls fans that "We are the real 609, we are the real 609." Can someone please tell me what the **** they are talking about? You are the NEW YORK red bulls, not the new jersey red bulls. Not to mention, you dont even play in the 609 area code?

Confusing fans, very confusing.
And neither do the Union, who are two area codes away from 609 geographically. Very, very confusing.
Another missed game for me. Once finals are over I'm going back to my parents house for a few weeks and luckily they are in the Philly area so I will get to see the first game since the first game.
