Playing Subban and Berg is a good move, imo. If you get a lead, you sit Berg and play the same game they've played the last two games. I think it's good to have Subban and Berg ready to go in case we're down a couple later in the game and we just have to throw caution to the wind.
IE, the entire game hinges on getting an early lead. That's the most effective way of beating this team.
One guy that needs to step up for this big game is Gomez. I haven't seen him lately. Just 3 pts in 6 games is not enough, especially we signed him because apparently, he is clutch and always good in playoffs. Time for you to shine Gomez.
Win or lose tonight, I'm proud of this team. We made everyone eat their words. If we lose, it's how everyone saw it no shame. If we win, well.... duh. I just think we can walk away knowing that our team has found an identity and we have good leadership that we can depend on.
Gomez has played very well, imo. Points don't reflect what he's brought. But man, a winner take all game, and we got the goalie. That's a pretty sweet situation. I wish Halak had an extra day rest. I also think Martin should not hesitate to pull Halak if he gets swarmed early. The game is too important.
Yeah, something like that. And you can't leave out the possibility that those 106 posters would rather root for the Maple Leafs than the Canadiens. I was one of those 106 but I've had a change of heart. The straitjacket will be coming in next week.
A true Habs fan would NEVER root for the bruins under no circumstance. I expect nothing less from true bruins fans
