Phillips to have surgery

TSN_Wally

Chris Phillips having minor foot surgery to remove bone spurs. That brings the # of Sens this season to go under the knife to 6.

Just thought I'd let people know.

Michalek, Kuba and Kovalev out with injury in playoffs

Alfie, Phillips, and Sutton playing injured?

Yeah I doubt it was really that bad or anything...but I thought Phillips was near perfect in the 1st half and the 2nd half and in the playoffs he was a little less consistent.

It's a well built team...as long as the offseason isnt completely cruel to us...I think we'll get to show that next year.

Phillips is the second-best leader on the team IMO, after Alfie.
Kind of surprised he was injured though.

Agree 100%, I think he will be the next captain and Spezza and Fisher will wear the A's

Think of it as rebuilding for next year

Seriously though, the amount of surgery needed is crazy

Explains why he sucked so much. Still plays is heart out though. As far as the next captain. I think they should look into giving Spezza or Fisher the C.

could just imagine if half our offensive team didn't require surgery or been injured.
