Og 2006

What's the story here? Can the NHL-players participate?

If they do, this is my team:

Goalies:
Henrik Lundqvist (Solid no. 1. I'll eat my hat if he's not top 10 in the world...already!)
Johan Hedberg (I'd prefer him before shaky Tellqvist and Liv)
Mikael Tellqvist

Defenders:
Nicklas Lidström
Mattias Norström
Kim Johnsson
Marcus Ragnarsson
Niklas Kronwall (I think he'll be better than Tärnström)
Dick Tärnström (mostly benched)
Henrik Tallinder
Christian Bäckman (mostly benched)

Forwards:
Daniel Alfredsson
Peter Forsberg
Mats Sundin
Henrik Zetterberg
Samuel Påhlsson
Tomas Holmström
Kristian Huselius (Should be able to score at least 70p in NHL)
Marcus Nilson
Markus Näslund
Fredrik Modin
Per-Johan Axelsson
Jörgen Jönsson
Peter Nordström (Could play instead of Axelsson or Påhlsson)

Lines:

M. Nilson - Forsberg - Näslund

Modin - Sundin - Alfredsson

Påhlsson - Zetterberg - Huselius

Holmström - J. Jönsson - Axelsson

If NHL-players will NOT participate...THIS is my team. (Quit unsexy tournament then though...) This is of course based upon that there is a 2005/06 season in the NHL:

Goalies:
Johan Hedberg (No 1. I think he won't get a good contract in the NHL...so he stays in Sweden.)
Björn Bjurling (Average SEL-goaltender)
Daniel Henriksson (Average SEL-goaltender)

Defenders:
Johan Fransson (Hopefully he has bulked up 5-10 pounds)
Thomas Rhodin (Will run pp as LD)
Magnus Johansson (Probably a lot of PP as RD)
Hans Jonsson
Mattias Timander
Jonas Frögren
Johnny Oduya (Here mostly because of his attitude)
Sanny Lindström

Lars Jonsson would probably have been a lock, but I think he's gonna cross the pond this summer...)

Forwards:
Jonathan Hedström
Per Ledin
Per Svartvadet
Alexander Steen (I think he'll stay and this will be his breakthrough season. Might be a 40+ point season)
Jonas Nordqvist (Is turning out to be a good scoring center)
Dragan Umicevic (A long shot. But I think he's gonna benefit from more PP and ice time in SSK next season)
Andreas Karlsson
Joel Lundqvist (See Umicevic)
Tony Mårtensson (I think he's gonna stay)
Joakim Lindström (Breakthrough season and he'll be a good 2-way forward)
Yared Hagos
Andreas Jämtin
Andreas Johansson

Niklas Nordgren, Magnus Kahnberg, Johan Franzén are probaly gonna leave for NHL... I'm leaving many of the SEL-based veterans home...Jörgen Jönsson, Jonas Höglund, Peter Nordström, Mikael Renberg etc...

Lines:

A. Johansson Svartvadet Hedström

Mårtensson Steen Umicevic

J. Nordqvist Hagos Jämtin

J. Lindström A. Karlsson Ledin

I forgot Öhlund...so Bäckman has to go...or maybe Tärnström.
